Tamsen: Hey everybody, Matt and Tamsen here with askmattandtamsen.com answering your questions about love 24/7. Matt: Nigel, give me a question. Nigel: Here’s your question Matt. This question comes from you—to you from John in Miami Florida. John writes, “My best friend recently came out his gay, he told me he's been in love me for all these years, I'm freak out. What should I do?” Matt: That’s a very interesting situation, what do you think? Tamsen: Well, first of all I'm glad he was honest about it, I mean I think that you know, it’s hard to come out sometimes for certain people depending on their family situation and what they think their friends are going to accept so congratulations to your friend for that. With regard to telling you mean attracted to you I would just be flattered about that, I mean if you're not attracted to him you got to be honest. Matt: You should tell him exact that’s the great thing. Tell him that you're flattered but say to him, “Look, if I was gay then honestly I would be definitely interested but you know what I'm not, there's no way I possibly could be interested in another guy it is not just the way I am and you know I think it would fun for our friendship but you know just that we understand each other. You know, I'm not interested I can't be because that is not who I am.” Tamsen: But I would be like very accepting at him talking about other relationships of you and like be there for him don’t all the sudden freak out and not be as friend anymore because that’s ridiculous, you can't do that to something. Matt: Not at all but be supportive, you know, I think you have a different really tell him, you know congratulate him for his courage and sure he knows that you can never be that way even, you know you should have tell her if you were gay. Hey, something might happen but you know what you're definitely not so we going to keep our relationship the way it is. And if you can support him anyway you know do it.
