Pamela Ferrell: Hi! I am Pamela Ferrell with Cornrows & Company Natural Hair Care. Today, I am going to demonstrate, how to do a simple Cornrow style. First, I am going to show you, how to section and part the hair and then, second I'll show you how to pin it up and place it into its finished look.
Before we get started, there's two things, I would like to point out the safety. Always when you are working, to do a cornrow style, you want to make sure, that the hair is easy to comb through and second you want to make sure, that the cornrow or the braid is not too tight. If the hair is tight, then, it means that you have done it incorrectly and if it's very tight, you want to take it out immediately.
The tools that you'll need to do this simple cornrow style, is a bit small tooth comb as well, as some clips. Before we get started, let me tell you a bit about myself. In 1980 my husband and I we opened up Cornrows & Company, the first natural hair care braiding salon in the country.
