How to Create Affordable Small Business Healthy Lunch Programs

" Erik: Why should a company consider creating it’s own working class lunch program? Cathy: Ooo! Well, the companies that I know of that have something like that. Well, no it’s more of a cafeteria program, I guess it’s the same idea but in a larger scale. I think a lot of large companies see the point in having your own cafeteria instead of people go to fast food or leave the campus or workplace to get food. They see the value in that because… they can make some money off of that and make it more affordable for your workers and you don’t have to leave. So, the idea is get back to work. But for smaller companies they don’t see the value in investing in something like that because it’s too much work. I say you hire one chef and make it work, and make it really homely. And, that person can also do other tasks in your company. Kind of like what I’m doing, I’m doing this and that around the company. And they can be really viable part of the team, sort like, I don’t mean to sound like… this is a throwbacto Victorian Era or something, but ‘The Cook! The Help!’ And you know cooks tend to be very creative people. It’s good to have a creative person in your staff. "
