Hi and welcome everyone! This is Nancy Redford. I have decided to make this video to accompany to two part of Animoto tutorial due to the fact that a lot of people are wanting to add text to Animoto. Now, you can text to Animoto just quite a recent edition during November of 2008, however the text does not step up for very long and most people want something with a name or they want a website address or other information that they want on their video.
So I am going to show you a quick and easy way to do that using free software called screen suited. First thing I have done is I have just uploaded some images. I am going to use the 30 second shot of an Animoto just to give you a demo.
Right! And the next thing I am going to do is open up a Word Document. That is where I will type out the information that I want on my video. I have got Microsoft Word and any word processor will be fine. So I am going to type my name because you to have my name and one of the website address is www.YouGotit/Marketing.com. You will see text is going to be too small. So first of all, I am going to send to the text, make it bold and then I am going to try 26 the size.
Okay, just checkout my website URL is correct. It is up to you if you want to change the actual font, just as long as it is readable. Click the preview. I am going to choose Arial. I have got Arial 26 which is quite large. For now, I am going to just change the font color. Black is fine, but I just want a slightly darker font. We will check the font that we have gotten mark up end comments, just to fill in with the theme on the side.
So next thing is to get this screen shooter software open. Okay, when you first open up screen shooter, this is what the interface looks like once you opened it up. You have got the pathway to save your captured image. So I advise to save that to your desktop so you can find it straight away.
For now, I am just going to call this my-animoto-text and because I do not want to save the entire screen, I do not want that. I do not want the active window. I just want to do selection that right now. You can see I am pressing on my mouse and then just select around and I am happy with that. You would see a flesh and I would let go with my mouse and that is it. On my desktop, I will have Animoto text which will be save as an image file. So, that is simply as that. No editing and cropping of images that people are not comfortable with doing that with people very nude. That screen shot is definitely much easier way to do that.
Okay, now I am back at Animoto and what I am going to do is I am going to click to the Add More and get that image that I saved to my desktop and there we are. There is my text.
So if you want that text file to stay on for longer, just click on the spotlight button, just once so you select the text then the spotlight and then that will stay on your video once it is playing for a couple seconds longer.
