Halla: Hello everyone, this is Halla with informationleak.net.com etcetera. Today, we're going to do another video tutorial this one. Somebody asked about how we made our little Leak Radio at informationleak.com or informationleak.net. If you're not familiar with the Leak Radio, go to informationleak. -- this is net and you click audio, here is our audio. So for example, I am a little bit of metal head, click metal, you click open and basically we've made an online iPod; this is what it comes down to. You can pause, you can stop totally, you can continue on, pause, continue, you can fast-forward, you can just continue going through it, however you like. Okay, No better than streaming, you have to take a whizz, you pause it, you come back, you are good to go. You can also right click file, save as, oh my goodness, but I didn't show you that.
Anyway, how do you make an online iPod? We're going to go over that right now, Please all listen to this, So it is the situation, forget about this for now, and you know what, forget about this too. Okay, so, what do you do? Well, the first thing you do is, you're going to need to get stuff available on the Internet. You need files available on the Internet, okay. So how do you get files available on the Internet? Well, you can go and look at the free -- try it, I made it in apache on informationleak.net under video tutorials. It would be right here, make your own free web server in seven minutes, which is, you can't beat it, or you could simply type in free hosting to Google, search for it. If you can find a free host in 241 million results, may be you shouldn't be doing this. All the good is even free mp3 hosting.
Yeah, now a lot of free hosting services are free because they have ads, a lot of advertisements, pop up banners, this type of thing. The beauty is that you really don't care about that because you are going to be using mainly Mp3s, so it doesn't really matter. You're not going to have a million pop ups, you might have one, if that. So let me show you how to do this. Find a free site, I am going to use my little apache server that I've made. If you know anything about my tutorial previously on how to install and use apache to create your own web server for free in under seven minutes, then you know that you go to program files, apache, software foundation apache 2.2 and you go into the htdocs folder, which right here is where your files will be accessible. I just have to use any of these for now anyway.
Anyway, now you need some songs, so I happen to found these songs just recently that I really liked; couple of Crystal Method songs, the boom for example. Oh yes, you'll also need Winamp. How do you find Winamp? It's simple; you go into Google. Guess what you type in? If you said Winamp, you're right. Search for it, winamp.com, go download it, it's free, it's beautiful, do it. So that being the case, you have Winamp so. I just use Winamp, because it has got real quick playlist out of there. There are a million ways to do this, but we're going to go over this one. So for example, if I want to listen to the Method here, Crystal Method in my Winamp, there it is, okay, lovely. Now check this out.
What we're going to do is -- and let me so play the west play so you can hear what the are, so that one I go over later you know, okay. Then okay, so you're going to make a new folder, name it, I don't know, whatever you want to name it, 'tunes', it doesn't really matter. Open adobe, take these guys, copy it or paste, just don't -- whatever I am copying on Crystal, I don't really care. Okay, so that's the situation right there. Okay, so now, we go back into iTunes, I mean iTunes, we go back into Winamp, we click on view, and we go to the playlist editor. Okay, now the playlist editor comes up and we are going to make a new one, so we're going to click new, file new, clear playlist, which clears the old one, which is fine. Now, we are going to create a playlist. We may just want to add an entire folder. It's better than adding files individually; it's a lot faster, so we are going to add the entire folder. Now, we're going to add the folder we just created, which happens to be tunes that happens to be in my - oops, C, programs, apache, apache 2, htf, htdocs, excuse me, tunes, okay. You'll see three songs in that folder come up, beautiful. Now, save it, save the playlist as whatever, just whatever, right. It will save it as an M3U playlist save, okay. So now, I can close this and I can even minimize this. So now at this point, use your playlist that we just made. So if we click this, it should play these songs that are in the tunes folder that we created and there we go. Now, we fast-forward just to make sure, and so far, so good.
Now, here is the cool part. We right click on M3U file, the playlist file. We go to open with and we go to notepad, okay. So once it opens up a notepad, you'll see here the location of the songs so that it knows where to start playing them, \program files\apache software foundation\apache 2.2\, it goes to each directory until it finds tunes and then it finds the song and that's how it knows to play the song. What we are going to do is we are going to take this entire situation here and we're going to copy the path location, not the file location but the path location. Since it's the same for every song, we are going to copy it, or we are going to cheat, we are going to edit, find and replace. We're going to find that and we're going to replace it with our web address, which in my case happens to be informationleak.net port 8000\tunes, okay; forward slash not back slash because now we are dealing with web. We are going to replace everything, replace, replace, replace. Now that's just what it is, oh crap, I forgot to do the other slash at the end of tunes, don't forget that.
Anyway, so now this should work. When we play this particular playlist, it's going to go to this website in this folder and play these songs. So let's save that, save, shut this. So now, if you click on this and we watch our Winamp at the same time, you know what, let's not even do it in Winamp, let's do it in something else. So you know why we are in here. I am going to take this playlist and you just dump it into this folder, which is my web folder. Then we'll go to informationleak.net port 8000. Okay, and you see the website, this is what we made. Here is your playlist, so we click it, open with the default player, I am using windows media player. Sometimes, I am getting a problem with this Winamp, maybe because I haven't upgraded it, yet I am not sure, but I am using windows media player just because it's common. If you are on a windows system, it's there.
So it's opened up and it should play the songs that are in tunes, so let's see. Boom! There it is. That my friends is how you create quickly a little online iPod. Cool, it beats the living crap out of uploading a ton of songs to a directory and having to do this to them. Oh, I want to listen to the song, click, wait and then it sits there and then it opens up quick time in the browser, see. Then it plays to browser. Then when it's done, it just ends. You might say, I want another song, so instead of having to go back, click that, wait for just making online iPod and have fun with it. The beauty of this is you use free hosts to do it. You can use your own computer to do it using apache or other web server software, IIS or anything really. You can even find other people's music that they've uploaded and make your own playlist that plays their music through their site. I mean you can do a lot of stuff with this. Anyway if you have any questions, I am available as always at informationleak.net, informationleak.com, information leak in general. Am on all the forums, I have the contact on the site, you have any questions, give me a Halla, speaking Hallas, this is Halla from information leak signing off, I hope you've enjoyed system.
