Asalaam and happy Diwali! I’m going to do a Diwali look today and I’m going to focus on using blues. I’ve actually never used blues in any of my tutorials so I thought it would be really fun.
I’ve already put on foundation, blush bronzer, put a little blush; we’ll go back and add some more, put on my eyebrows and I have a little mascara on from earlier so I’m going to kind of add to my look.
So, we’re going to start with eyes, go back with cheeks and finish with the lips. So, our first step after you prepped your eyelid, it’s going to be your brow highlight and I’m going to use Motif from MAC.
Okay, so now I placed my brow highlight and I’ve even put Motif towards the middle of the eye. The color’s pretty sheer but it’s very air dusting, that’s gorgeous. So, the thing with Motif is that you really want to pack it on, like so.
Now, we’re going to use Electric Eel in the crease which is a Matte texture bright, bright, bright or blue and I’m going to use my MAC 224 brush and start right in the crease here.
Okay, now I’ve applied Electrical Eel in my crease and I want to go back and blend up. We’ll use that 252 brush and I’ll blend it a lot towards the middle, I want it softer and just on the outer edge, just here.
Okay, I think that looks good. Now, we’re ready to add our lid color and I’m going to choose a gold. I’m going to use MAC Woodwinked and I’m going to place it right in the middle of the lid here and I’m packing it on so it’s ultra strong and I get very vibrant color.
Okay, so now I’ve added the Woodwinked onto my lid and I’m actually going to bring it up a little further so when you look straight ahead at me, you’ll see the gold towards the middle of the eye. So, I get a little closer so you can see and then we’ll drag out that color and we’ll go back and blend. Okay so now, I’ve added the Woodwinked all over the lid and the inner crease area and I still have that highlight of Motif in the middle and underneath my brow and I’m actually going to add the Woodwinked underneath my eye too. I think that would be pretty.
So, look up. For Diwali and you know Eid, and any fun festivals, you can definitely do your make up a little more dramatic, you know, it’s a time to celebrate, a time to have fun and you definitely want to be seen on these days.
Okay, now just to deepen my crease a little bit since I just have a blue all throughout the crease. I’m going to use Contrast by MAC with my 266 brush; it’s a little small angle brush. And I’m going to place it right in the middle of the crease and tap it around here. And we’re ready to go back and blend but this is just so your crease is a lot more defined and you have that more dramatic look.
Okay so now, I’ve added the Contrast to my crease. I’ll get a little closer so you can see and then after you apply it with the angle brush, you want to go back and blend with your crease brush; your 224 and it’s great, it softens that line just a little bit.
Now, we’ll go back with Contrast once again and we’ll add a little color underneath the eye here with an angle brush.
Okay, so now I’ve actually gone back and lined my eye again using the MAC Fluidline in blackjack with an angle brush and so I lined, I extended my eye just a little bit. I don’t know if you can tell; compare eyes, I left this eye unlined and I lined this side. And I have a little bit of shadow going on here but I did create a cat eye line and slightly extended towards the middle and then I lined underneath as well. So now, you just want to even out and then, I’ll show you how to create fun blue eye shadow.
Okay so now, I’ve evened out both eyes and I am going to create a blue eye liner underneath my eye here. So again, using the angle brush and the MAC 266, I’m going to take a little fresh water which is, let me show you here, it’s a, iridescent blue. It’s really fun, pretty vibrant so I’m going to be—I’m going to get quite a bit of product and just line underneath my eye with it.
And I’m actually going to use a little towards the middle. Okay now, the trick is here, we’re going to actually extend that color and then blend that out. It will soften it so it’s a little more smokey, it won’t be so harsh.
Now, we have finished with the blue, the fresh water underneath the eye and one of the most important parts to Indian make up is to line your—so you want to put your eye cool inside your eye here. Now, we can put on our mascara and you know I always recommend lashes so feel free to do lashes and I think we’re actually going to do a little blush now. And since when it gives blue is I’m going to stick with it like, almost cool theme and use a bright pink blush.
I’m actually going to use MAC in Dolly Mix. Now, I’m going to place my bindi on, so right in the middle, I’m going to start with big lip pencil. So, I’ve used big lip pencil and Bombshell lipstick so it’s a darker look liner and a lighter lipstick which I don’t typically do all the time but hey, it’s fun.
Now, I’m going to add just a little highlight tricks in the middle of my lip. As they are doing the traditional gloss whichever will do, I’m going to use a little bit of that Motif eye shadow.
Okay, so there we are. Here’s our Diwali look. I’ll get a little closer so you can see. If you have any questions on anything, please feel free to contact me. Thanks for watching. I appreciate all of my subscribers and happy Diwali everybody.
