Devoted Poppy Classic Eyes Look
Hi, everyone. It’s Jen. Today, I’m going to be creating this look using the new MAC Collection Passions of Red Holiday 2008 Collection. I’m going to be using this thick shadow palette that looks like this. These one’s called devoted poppy classic eyes and I’ll get close to you so you could see the look and that’s pretty much it. I hope you guys enjoy it. If you want to learn how to get this look just keep watching.
So let’s get started. I’ve already applied my base all over my lid up to my brow bone. And I use MAC paint in bare canvas. That’s a new color and now we can see that. I’m going to go ahead and take my 217 and my six shadow palette and I’m going to be taking the darker color right here.
We’re going to start off with the dark and we’re going to move our way up to the lighter color. Let’s get started. We’re going to go ahead and apply it right on the outer corner of the eye. Bringing it in all the way in on our crease not going below it and it doesn’t matter if it’s sloppy. We’re going to go back and fix it later, just place this on the outer corner. Don’t bring it in too much and just blend it up and bring it in just a little bit and we’re going to do a little bit more.
It’s always better if you start off using a little bit and then will bring your way up to the intensity that you want and just start blending it so you don’t have any harsh lines. Sometimes on colors are little to intense, instead of rubbing it or blending it out. You can always just pat it and it will soften up the look.
So next on top of that dark color I’m going to getting that blue from the palette and I’m going to be taking my same brush the 217. This is one of my favorite brushes so I have two of them. So before you actually apply the blue kind of wipe it down a little bit following the shape of your eyebrow. And it doesn’t matter like I said before. It didn’t matter if the harsh lines are there right now. We’re going to fix that later so just focus on getting it where you want it and the intensity that you want as well.
It’s okay if you overlap the dark color a little too much. We’ll go back and intensify a little later. We’re just going to pat it at the top so there are no harsh lines and bring it in so just like that. Then since I lost a little bit dark color, I’m going to take my brush that’s a little bigger than the 219. That’s my posh brush. And I’m going to take it right on the crease. Just so as the crease is defined there’s some depth and I’m not going to go up too high. Just make sure that crease is defined, bring it up just a little bit, just like that. Smooth it out. I’m going to take my 217 and smooth it out so just like that. Then I’m going to take my 239 brush which is our brush right there.
I’m going to take the green part of the palette which is that one. It is a little flaky. I don’t know if you could see it. It is a little flaky so just pat it on there, pat it on the lid of the eye. So it will actually stay on there and it becomes a more intense color. Place it on the inner corner and into the eye as well, just the inner part. So just like that.
As you can see, it’s a very soft green. It’s not very harsh which is good. I like it. It’s a good combination. Next what I’m going to be doing is I’m going to be taking my Stila number 5 brush and I’m going to be taking the lighter portion at the top to use it as a highlight and I’m not going to take too much because it is very highly pigmented and I don’t want to lose too much of the color that I have. So I’m going to place it right there, right where they meet, you want to start blending. Bring it in. Soften up the look just right where they meet. And make sure you keep following the shape of your eyebrows so you don’t lose that shape.
And then what I’m going to do is I’m going to grab my Feline as I always do. I love this eyeliner. I’m going to go ahead and place it inside the rim of my eye, first low. I’m going to bring it in just a little bit so they don’t get my eye. So as I have said this before we have smaller eyes and we bring it in on the inner and the outer and then it will make it appear lot longer than it is. Okay so just like that.
Next I’m going to be taking my 219 brush which is that one right there. You can take any blending brush that looks like it. I’m going to take the darker portion of the palette, just a little bit. Put it right under my eye and smudge it on with that black Feline. Bring it in and smudge it out real good. That way you don’t see any harsh lines on there. Okay so right under that darker color, I’m going to take my same brush and I’m going to take the blue and put right under it, overlap it just a little bit so just like that.
Next I’m going to be using my liquid lash liner and it’s Blue Horizon. Now we’re skipping that part of the video including my lash application. But if you need help, refer to my video where I apply the lashes to help you so I’m going to go ahead and do that and I’ll get right back to you guys.
Okay so I’m back I’ve already applied my false lashes and my liquid liner. And this is pretty much the look. I hope you guys enjoy it. Thank you so much for watching and subscribing and I’ll talk to guys later. Bye.
