How to Create New Theme Colors in Excel 2007

One of the easiest way to create a new theme in Microsoft excel is to use a theme that they already have created and then modify it. A great way to do this is to change the colors used in the theme. So to do this, go ahead and click on your page layout tab and on the theme section go ahead and click on the theme colors. And it will bring in your built in and these are the built in colors that are used with each of the themes.

So you can go and select one of these if you want, or if you like to create a custom theme with the colors that you choose. You can click on create new theme colors, and instead of brining up this dialogue box. And it’s going to show you over here is you make this changes a sample of what is going to look like.

You can go ahead and you can change the colors whatever you think looks good. Accent colors, you have hyperlink colored followed hyperlink colors and then down here select where it says custom one. And go ahead and name it, and then click on save to name your theme. If you decide you want to go back to the original presets go ahead and hit the reset button.

Or click the cancel button if you don’t want to save the changes that you just made.
