Hi, this is Chris from VitaminCM.com. Today we are going to talk about a service called Dial2Do. Dial2Do is like a free virtual secretary. So if you just go to Dial2Do.com you can register for free account and if you look, once you have setup your account. You have a number of different services that you can use. Dial2Do will work with services like your email, Twitter, you can check the weather. You can list on your calendar, put events on your calender. If you use “Remember the Milk” you can record yourself to dos you can make notes, whatever note.
You can translate things, you can make updates that paying FM. So there’s lot of different services, so what I am going to do is show you a couple of services I have integrated with. So I have integrated with Google calendar so I can read my calendar or put events on it. I have integrated with “Remember the Milk” so I can get myself to dos. I have integrated with every note so that I can make notes for myself and I can also post to my Twitter account. So let’s say I was going on a picnic on Friday with my wife. There are a couple of things I might I want to do.
So for one I want might to send her a text message to invite her. I want to put on the calendar. I want to give myself to do list maybe make a little shopping list to pick up and maybe post it to my Twitter account. So what I am going to do is dial into my Dial2Do secretary.
Female: What would you like to do?
Chris: Text.
Female: Text who?
Chris: Andrea Maciello.
Female: Texting Andrea Maciello. Record your message.
Chris: We are having a picnic on Friday at 2:00 in the park.
Female: That’s done. What would you like to do?
Chris: Calendar.
Female: Calender, record your calender and details.
Chris: Friday 2:00 p.m. picnic at the park.
Female: That’s done. What would you like to do?
Chris: Remember the Milk.
Female: Remember the milk. Record your texting.
Chris: Friday, pick up groceries for picnic.
Female: That’s done what would you like to do?
Chris: Ever note.
Female: Ever note, please record your message.
Chris: Grocery list, wine, sandwiches, plates, napkins.
Female: That’s done. What would you like to do?
Chris: Weather.
Female: Weather forecast 407, output for Wednesday, rain. Temperature is 34 to 54 Fahrenheit. Output for Thursday, clear. Temperature is 40 to 59 Fahrenheit. Output for Friday, clear. Temperature is 43 to 70 Fahrenheit. Output for Saturday, clear. What would you like to do?
Chris: Twitter.
Female: Twitter, record you’re your tweet.
Chris: Can’t wait for my picnic on Friday.
Female: That’s done.
Okay so those are my tasks. Now if I go back to my calendar, I will hit refresh and you will see it added to my picnic in the park. If I go to “Remember the Milk” and hit refresh. Scroll down to the bottom of my list, it says pick up groceries for picnic. If I go in to Ever note and hit refresh, you could see from Dial2Do. It says grocery list and those are the groceries I put.
And if I go to Twitter and refresh it, you’ll see my Twitter post that I just put up and it says came from Dial2Do and if I could take my wife’s phone which I had next to me the whole time. And open it up you’ll see I have a text message. It is a text message that I sent to myself. So that’s pretty much some of the basic things you can do. There are tons of other services that you can work with, so all kind of different things are very easy to use. It’s the closest thing that you’re going to get to a secretary. It’s all free and it works great. So if you’re on the road a lot, if you’re traveling or you want just to schedule some things for yourself. It’s very handy to do, that’s Dial2Do.
