Hi, I’m Samantha Star and this is watchmojo.com. In this segment, I’m going to show you how to make a guest favor for your wedding.
What you’ll need for today’s segment is the following: two colors of cardstock, a paper trimmer, double sided tape, hole punch, some clear cellophane, a little container and a foam paint brush, some ribbon, a martini glass, scissors, paper towel, glitter, a white liquid glue like Mod Podge, floating candles or any decorative candle and some cranberries.
So the first step of this project is to take our cranberries and to put them out on a piece of paper towel just to dry them off in case there is any excess liquid on them, and then we’re going to put them in our little plastic container like so. And you’re going to pour in some of the white glue and you're going to add glitter. And you’re just going to shake it up. And if you have problems doing that, you can come in with your foam pain brush. The glue will dry clear so you can ignore anywhere where it looks white and just add glitter to it. And then you're going to put those aside and let them dry.
You're going to need about a dozen or so of cranberries per guest favor that you make. So don’t worry if you’ve put in too much glue or if you're cranberries were still watery. Just go ahead and throw in some more cranberries until the next and then just keep stirring it up and make sure that everything gets coated with thin layer of glue and the glitter.
The next step will to wrap your candles in this cellophane and tie it off with your ribbons. So depending how many you want to put per glass, you could place you're candles in the center of the cellophane and tie it up into a ribbon. If you don’t like how your cellophane looks, you go can go on with you're scissors and cut it in Vs to clean up the edges.
Next, you want to take your martini glass along with your dried cranberries and you want to pour that into the glass. And then you're simply going to sit you're finished candles inside of there. Now, we’re going to make the tags to tie on to our glasses. So I have a tag here that’s about 3½ x 1¾ so I’m going to cut a piece of burgundy cardstock that matches our cranberries at about 3¾ x 1½ and I’m going to glue the tag onto the cranberry cardstock. I’m going to take a hole punch and I’m going to punch a hole in the top corner and then I’m going to take a matching ribbon to the ribbon we used on our candles. And I’m going to tie this around the base of the glass.
