Okay let’s do some paint tricks inside of motion so the first thing I’m going to do is hit the PT to get my paint tool active and I’m just going to go in here and make a letter and I’m going to make it elm just to make a demonstration here. So now you could take this paint stroke back to beginning here and you can see that there’s paint stroke rocks on and we show our out point for about right there and let’s go ahead and clean this up a little bit and I’ll grab our point selection tool or our edit points tool which is right there and second for the bottom and the hold my Shift key and I’m going to go in here and delete this middle points just so I can get a straighter pinch drop.
So there is those as let’s go back in here and let’s select these and all this so as you can see as what I’m doing this things are straight and up because going in and doing this by the point, point by point basis will just be murder.
Now we have our point cleaned up and we can go in and adjust these and make sure they’re all even but I’m not real worried about that because that’s not why we’re here and there’s an extra point and I want to get rid of. That’s now why we’re here but I’m here to show you some cool tricks with Paint. Okay we have this tool elm and that’s not even at all but it’s going to demonstrate for us pretty well.
So we have this paint stroke so let’s go to our shape and under our style we’ll change the color of our outline and I want to change it to like a reddish orange and what else could we do here? I think that’s about it for now. I could change the blend mode to add because that might come in handy later. Now, let’s go ahead and select our group and hit Command D and make a copy of that group.
So now, let’s go into our group copy and let’s go into our paint stroke copy here and you can see we have a brush tack of solid we want to make it airbrush and I’m going to make this airbrush as well. Now, let’s go back into our paint stroke copy and we have two more tabs now added to blend and I want to turn added to blend on and I’m going to turn add to blend on and this one too.
Now, let’s go to our stroke tab or advance tab and let’s turn on dynamics, you can’t turn on dynamics if you turn it to air brush and we’ll select this paint stroke and we’re going to turn on dynamics. So if we turn on dynamics on our original paint stroke you see what happens, we don’t have any text left. So make sure you leave the dynamics off on the original text stroke.
So now we have the dynamics turned on, on our top text stroke, you can see what’s going on here when I play this. So let’s go in to adjust our particles a little bit so let’s go in to our dynamics and turn that sucker down, let’s increase our speed, about 120 and let’s take our laugh way down and let’s take our mission range and change it just to be a little random and let’s see what we got here.
I will still need to be a little bit more just in here and let’s let our paint stroke copy and let’s go in here and let’s look at our stroke and then we can adjust our stroke for in here and let’s take our brush scale up a little bit and so with over stroke of course you can go in and you can see how this has change on here and look over in my canvas as I change this all this is adjustable and you can do it from this entry and wit over stroke which is how wide and which what we do in stroke length and brush scale which we just looked at brush scale randomness brush angle all these make a difference in the way you’re stroke is going to look.
Space in over the stroke we can change our spacing into where it looks more like a solid flame here and so now we adjust our past in our and now we’ll leave our past alone and we can do our brush scale and our brush scale randomness and all this good stuff and let’s play this back and it looks like that elm is being burned on. If you look real close. The scale might be a little bit so of course you want to go back in and unless I’ll just turn down our brush scale, like so and so we suggest our wit over stroke. Make it like a little smaller there and, maybe about like that.
Now, we’re getting somewhere, now as you can see it starts out big and it goes small and I mean I could sit here and play with this stuff, I mean forever and I think you guys could too. Now, let’s go back to our advance and its going to our dynamics and let’s look at our mission angle and as you can see that’s spin it around there, emission range just turn down our mission range to about 48 now we can go back to our stroke and we can turn brush up a tad.
Now, we got more of a sticky thing coming on here and you can go in and play with this and make it however you want to you guys this is just a quick trip working with your paint tools, I got another one coming in Final Cut Pro and actually hit the pans on what order I post them in.
So thanks a lot for watching guys we’ll see you next time.
