In this tutorial, it is going to be a Fall 2008 Make-up Trend. As you can read in magazines, see in movies and wherever that the trend is dark lips and bronzed set-back eyes. If you want a more natural look to fall, you can basically nicks the lips and just keep the bronze and kind of down play the bronze eye. You could also do a wash berry color but I really enjoy lipstick and I love, love the dark lips. So, I hope you’ll like this tutorial and please comment, rate, subscribe and thank you very much. I’ll see you guys soon. Bye.
I'm going to start with a clean, washed face. I actually have been washing my face with Murad acne face wash but not only doing much for myself. I switched over to Doctor’s Dermatological Formula (DDF) and I switched over to their salicylic face wash and I'm actually liking it a lot. I'm using the salicylic face wash as well as some moisturizer by Dr. Brent called Pores No More. It is the oily combination skin moisturizer and I really, really like it because is doesn’t make my face feel overly moisturized or under moisturized or whatever.
After the moisturizer, I put on Cosmedicine Opti-mologist, with eye cream light diffusers under my eyes. It really feels awesome, I mean you should always be using an eye cream obviously just because no one want to get wrinkles on their eyes when they got older and plus I just like the way it feels. Before my foundation, before my Bare Essentials, I'm going to be using Laura Gellar liquid face and body Candlelight. I’ve actually just grabbed a sample up from work, I'm going to put this right here on the highlights of my cheeks and it's going to shine right through the Bare Essentials. If you put the highlight right on your nose, it will elongate the face and slim it out. Now, I'm going to put on the Bare Essentials color in Fair. I'm going to use my kabuki brush and after that, we’re going to put on some blush.
After your Bare Essentials application, put on Shimmer Choral Sun Set this is by Lancome, this smells amazing. I don’t want to smell it so much. God, I look like 13-years old without any make-up on. I'm 24 for crying out loud, anyway here we go. I'm going to apply this to the apples, blend it right up. So before I put on my eye shadow, I'm going to be using our Urban Decay Primer Potion, I’ve put that on already on both eyes. I'm going to using Tarte Lock and Roll, this is the color rose gold, I'm going to use the cream side, paint it all over the lid don’t forget getting it in the inner corner of the eye too.
After you painted the lid, take your pointer finger and blend it up. I'm not going in a wind shield motion at all. This dry extremely quickly too, just to let you know. The Tarte Lock and Roll don’t crease it either which is incredible, I can’t even understand how they do it but I'm not asking, I'm just putting it on my face, I don’t care. I also have a color amethyst in mineral, it's really great. On both eyes, also I'm going to put the Tarte Lock and Roll in the inner corner.
Next, the color I'm going to be using is Fashion Show by Lancome, gorgeous color. If you don’t have this color, you could use Copper Ring by MAC, they look pretty damn similar. I mean, if you put them side to side, it's very hard to tell which is which. Also I’ve done a color stripe on my hand. I mean literally they’re pretty damn similar.
So anyway, onto Fashion Show, I'm using Stilla’s brush #15. It’s the double ended brush and I'm putting this in the contour of the eye. Now, as you can see I just used that flat brush, I'm not using a lot of pigment in there as well either just because I want this to be a natural look so, just a little bit and then we’re going to blend out. I going to blend with this #217 brush and that is how it looks like when it blends. Do the same thing to the other eye. I'm going to continue the Fashion Show by Lancome, the same side of the brush, on the under eye, we’re going to neat that with the Tarte Lock and Roll color, rose gold, like that and flip it over. I’m going to blend that just a little bit to like that.
For the highlight, I'm going to be using Lore Mersier’s white gold. Basically what this is, is a duo. it has here a cream, shadow and on the inside it has a pigment. It has a little bit of a gold tinge to it and I like that just because it goes with the colors and for this look, I'm going to quickly pop that into the highlight. Now, you could be done here and just put on your mascara and be good to go. But I'm going to be using Burban by Urban Decay, it's the #247 liner and I'm going to be packing that very close to the lash line and not on the water line though, I want to keep that kind of fair. The same thing on the top but I'm not going to go all the way over, just a little bit, like that.
So, has anybody heard of the new Givenchy Phenomen Eyes Mascara? Yes, I have too and it's pretty damn good. Do you see this eye? Obviously I’ve used the Givenchy Phenomen Eyes Mascara, just to give a little brief overview of it; it has this weird ball applicator. I think it looks like a koosh ball but if it does this to my lashes, I’ll put a koosh ball in my lashes, I don’t care. I'm going to show brief sneak peeks of how to put this on and enjoy. After that, I’ll put on some lipstick and I’ll be done.
You’re going to start off by taking this one, putting it out towards the eye on the outer corner, once you’ve reached the inside of the eye, I'm going to flip it over, and pull upwards. For the lower lid, you’re going to take it straight on and pull down. Make sure you tilt head a little bit forward so you don’t catch the bottom of your skin. That’s the application of the Phenomen Eyes by Givenchy.
Now, you could definitely stop here and this would be kind of like a natural-ish fall face or you could go a step further just like I'm about to do. I'm going to be using So Scarlet by MAC, this is from their new cherry collection, the color’s incredible and as everybody knows, for fall it is going to be very dark lips, plaid back eyes but dark, dark lips.
I did get two of the other colors, Bing and Kerch. Bing is really, really dark. Kerch is, if I would say it by how to do a kind of a stepping ladder thing, it would be So Scarlet, Kerch and then Bing. It’s very, very dark but beautiful color. So if you like dark lipstick, go get this stuff, it’s incredible and selling out quick.
If you get any kind of powder, setting powder or whatever in your entire lifetime, get this it's incredible. It's 100% silica and it's so light on the face, it’s amazing, kind of like some double duty for products, this one can be a selling product for lipstick as well, tap it on the lips, and you’re good.
