You are at Hacke 101’s Broadcasting Videos with high quality tutorials, brand new computer and internet tricks, you are at Hacke 101!
Hey everyone and today I'm going to show you how to create a free website—use notepad++, just go to the link on the description to download notepad++ or go to notepad-plus.sourceforge.net.
So, go ahead and open up notepad++ and go to File, Save As, and then type in Index.HTML, HTML and make sure the Save is All Types, let’s check. And then you could go out and save at your desktop or whatever you want to save.
Now, here is what we’re going to do. So, to start it of, we have two headers, an HTML code and then ending HTML code that look like this and then we have two header tags and then we have two titles. Under the title, you can title your site what you want it to be called.
Now, once you’ve titled it, go ahead and minimize the window and drag it over to the left. What you’re going to do is find where you save that file, that index file and go ahead and double click on it. And then it should bring up a Fire Fox document or an Internet Explorer document or whatever is your default web browser.
Once you clicked on your index file, it should bring up a blink Mozilla FireFox page. Here, what you’re going to—and make sure it’s shrunken to the right side so now that you have them both tiled to the left and the right.
Now, if you go ahead and save your notepad document and click refresh, at the top of the Mozilla FireFox webpage, it should say the title that you just did. Back in the notepad document, we’re going to add two more after the header and the title tags. Right below that, we’re going to put body tags that look like this and that is paragraph tags which is just—in those paragraph tags, you can go out and put what you wanted to say then you could push save and refresh once again and then it should show up on Hacke 101’s webpage.
Now, you have to add attributes to this paragraph here so what we’re going to do is by using the header one tag, we can make a—the header tags look a little bit something like this and then they just close out. And then what you can also do is add bold tags which is just the letter B. Now, if you save and refresh your webpage, now, your website name is bigger and it’s in bold.
To center the lettering, you’re just going to put the center tag which is just center. And then if you go to save and refresh, now it’s centered in the middle of the page. I've just put new paragraph tags and then in between those I put here is a list of my videos and then here is what you’re going to do to add videos. So, I have one of my YouTube videos up here and if I go to the embedded and in the settings, I can select the Attributes and then I could add a Show border, check the color and then the size and then up in the embedded place, there is a little box here and then you could right click there and then push copy.
You can go out and paste that video, right under here is a list of my videos and then it should show up there. And then if you once again, if you to the File, Save and then refresh, it shows here a list of my videos and then the YouTube video should show up right below it.
Now, I'm going to show you some of the body attributes. If you go to the body tag up here, and then space you can put this. So, in between this parenthesis, we’re going to put the hacks value but when working with hacks values, you want to go to www.colorpicker.com. Here at colorpicker.com, you can go out and choose the color that you wish for your background and then just circle this and then copy and paste the hacks value that shows up in the bar up here.
What’s putting in the hacks value for your text and background color with this, just go ahead and go to Save and then refresh your webpage and then it should update what you just did. My text is now white and my background is now green. If you want an image as your background, just go ahead and use this tag right here, background = and then in between those parenthesis, you’re going to go ahead and put the link to where the picture is.
So, go ahead and paste the pictures link right into those parenthesis and then it should—and then if you push Save and then refresh should update your background to that background that you just show right here.
So, whenever you’re through in making your website, go ahead and go to www.awardspace.com and then push Try Now and then scroll down to the bottom and push Sign Up. Here, you can do some easy FTP managing and—go ahead and check existing domain and then you can use YouTube.com, it does not matter. Then type in all of the following information here and then push Submit. Once done filling out on the all the information for the name, go ahead and push Easy Starter and then Submit. And now, you’ve signed up for a free account.
Once through, go ahead and go to your email and then you can go ahead and find your password there. You can go ahead and find your password to your account and they’ll email you your password. So, go ahead and go back to WordSpace and log into your account.
So, once you’ve logged in to your WordSpace account, I can’t right now because for some reason the site is down right now. So, once you’ve logged in, go ahead and create a sub-domain by clicking on that on the left hand side and create a sub-domain and then also click on the left FTP manager and go ahead and create an FTP account there.
So, once you’ve done so, go ahead and search Google for files and then it will take you to the first download link and then download files to the client and then go ahead and run FileZilla. Go ahead and install FileZilla and then go to File and the Site Manager. In Site Manager, you’re going to push new site and then type in the name for your site and then under host, just type in the sub-domain you’ve created. So, go on and type in the sub-domain you’ve just created .awardspace.com and then set the log on type to dance with the log on type to normal. And then type in the username you just created for the FTP account then type in the password for the FTP account. And then push Connect and then it should connect you to the website.
Then what you’re going to do is drag that—find your HTML file, your Index.HTML and then drag it into the folder that you see right here and then push OK and then it should be done. So, once you dragged it in, go ahead and go to that sub-domain you’ve created whatever.awardspace.com and then it should be on the web now.
Now, if that’s too long for you, what you can go ahead and do is go to this web address. If you go to .tkDot.tk, it should bring you here and then go ahead and enter the URL and then push Next and then sign up for free account and then what you could do is then it will just create a shortcut kind of so now if you go to whatever .TK, you just TK just created like my Hacke101.tk if you go there then my website is going to show up as just .TK instead of a .awardspace.com.
Well, thanks for watching this tutorial guys. For more tutorials, go to Hacke101—
