A jar is always useful. You can use them for whatever you want. You can drink out of them. You can keep coffee on them. You can keep different spices or food in them so what a great way to give a gift, a jar.
These are some tips on how to make a gift jar. I include a couple of recipes in there. Now, one great thing about gift jars is that they tend to be really cheap. All you have to do is buy an inexpensive gift like salts, ingredients for some cookies, maybe a beverage mix, a baking mix, or even just the makings of a good bean soup and layer it in a glass canning jar. These are great Christmas gifts, the gift for holidays and the gift for Birthdays depending on who you are buying a gift for. Sometimes, you can put a piece of colorful fabric on top or even may add a little tag in a very personalized and a unique way to tell from one that you care or if you wanted to buy some really fancy coffee like maybe Jamaican coffee, you could put that in the jar and that would make a great gift.
A really popular gift to give in a jar is some Italian bean soup. So, here is the ingredient and recipe you need to make an Italian bean soup in a jar. So first, you are going to need to get 12 big pint jars, that is two cups, and each would come with lids and rings. Then you get 14 pounds of assorted dried peas, beans and lintels. Then you are going to get 12 bullion cubes, 12 bay leaves, a half-a-yard of printed cotton fabric, 3 pieces of card stock.
First, you layer the beans in the jars. You add a quarter cup of each type of bean to the jar, layering them starting with the most colorful layer. There should be 8 layers of beans in each jar. You are going to place one bay leaf and one bullion cube on top of the beans in each jar. Then seal the jar using the lids and rings. Then you may cut 12 seven inch circles from can fabric topping each jar with a fabric circle and you are going to tie it with a ribbon. Then you print three copies of a gift tag using your card stock, cut them apart and attach them to the jars with the ribbon.
There you have 12 gift jars with recipes and ingredients for soup. Enjoy and have a happy holiday.
