Right guys. Now that we’ve done the part one and we’ve got the beat ready, what we’re going to do now is I’m going to make the melody, the bass and I’m going to try to do that all within ten minutes if I can.
So we just layout on the time line on the play list and we’ve got the beat right. So what I’m going to do now is I’m just going to quickly clone the selected pattern. I’m not sure if you can see my window. I’ll just clone the pattern down, so you’ve got the same pattern on the bottom as well if you know what I mean, pattern one, pattern two. And we’re going to change the beat slightly at the end.
[Demonstration]
See I just add that extra at the end. It gives you the extra swing. All right, that’s what we’re going to do. I’m just going to leave that there for a minute, go to channel three and I’m going to use orchestral. Orchestral is a VSC plug in which you can download at Torrent and you can download it maybe free of charge from websites. I’m going to use a concert piano and before I’ll start making any melodies, I’m going to look at the concepts of the actual kicks. So if you look at the kicks, we’ve got one, two, three, one, two, three.
So now what we’re going to do before start, we’re just going to copy the kick by clicking on it and just press Control and C. And then when you go to orchestra and the instrument, all you’ve got to do now is just control beat, like that. If I play it now, that’s all we’ve got right now. It’s nothing too fancy, but that just gives me a clue in beats. So let’s have a look. This make a nice melody right? This is me playing my PC keyboard, no music instruments whatsoever, just my PC and my computer, that’s it.
[Demonstration]
So you see nothing too hard, we’ve just quickly made something like this playing and let’s just play quickly.
[Demonstration]
Let’s put it in a beat and see how that sounds.
[Demonstration]
And now that we’ve got that, if you can hear that there’s going to be a slight change in here. So we’re going to clone that down and if you can like got a feel from the music you can throw that, there’s going to be a change of river a little bit at the end.
[Demonstration]
Like so. So let’s play it now.
[Demonstration]
All right, that’s all right. Now that we’ve got that done, let me go back up to channel three. Clone orchestra down, same thing, we’re going to use piano again, you can use any keyboard for this. And let’s just play it.
[Demonstration]
Now, I’m just thinking of a type of melody in my head. I’m just going to be playing some random things now just trying to get a nice melody again.
[Demonstration]
I don’t think this will cover the beat going nice, so let’s change the concept. When you make a beat, it’s all about creativity and it’s all about you know. You don’t make things right the first time, you’ve got to give it many tries.
[Demonstration]
That is not bad. At the bottom, I’m just going to change the volume. So I’m going to go to the channel volume and I’ll just go back in there.
[Demonstration]
Right. So that’s that, I’m going to copy that over to the channel which is playing the other beat. At the end of this, I’m going to change it slightly.
[Demonstration]
So let’s see how that sounds.
[Demonstration]
So as you can see, I made a quick beat with that within few minutes and there weren’t many problems.
[Demonstration]
Let’s add a quick violin to it.
[Demonstration]
