Hi, so I'm going to do this look today. And it’s my modern take on a pin up look. And I'm really liking this kind of look at the minute, especially the hair. I'm rocking my little loop in the front. The reason it’s a bit more modern is we've gone for like a glittery, well it’s not too glittery. It’s more of an iridescent sparkly on the eye. Don’t know if you can see it shining. You might be able to see a little bit better.
Now this is by Barry Erman, it’s not the normal white that I use as a highlight. This is the one I tell you to avoid to use as a highlight. Because it has got a lot of sparkle in and when you do want to highlight you don’t want that sparkle.
So I’ll get started. But first I’ll show you the inspiration. This is Rihanna. And I think she wore this to like an awards somewhere. So, I've kept like the eye shape similar, but I've taken the crease a little bit deeper than what she has there.
So we’ll going to start with the crease and were going to start with that base color I've mentioned, the kit. So what you want to do is just, this is my kit here. So what you want to do is take the color that’s similar of a little bit darker to your skin tone. This has quite, it’s a very muted color and its matte. So if you take that to the inner corner of your eye and just leave a little space where the highlight would be and round it off at the end.
Then for our highlight, were going to add. It’s not a matte white, its Floof by Mac. It has shin to it, basically. I'm just going to pop that on the brow bone. Just a tiny bit. And I'll blend that out. Then, I'm going to deepen the crease with the brown. So I'm just going to use a pencil brush, this is by Coastal Scents. Just get the very tip. And then I'm going to keep it in the outer corner of the eye. But were not actually going on to the eyelid. And you're keeping that on the crease. You should be able to feel your bone above it. So you go right in there.
Then the brush that you have the kit on, just sweep some of the remainder, just on the lower lash line. This is a short handle 217 brush. Then were going to make it even darker by using Mac’s Embark. Well all the browns I've used are matte. And that's because I prefer a matte color in the crease. And this have shades like a red brown, dark brown. Just blending that out a bit. And go back in with a little bit more. You can do this as much as you want until you get the desired effect. It’s better to build up lightly than go in full throttle and make a complete mess. Now we’re going to go on with the lid and I'm using a cool pencil to wide by Burien. Quite cheap. This is a 252 brush by Mac. It’s just like a coarse, I think it might be goat hair or something brush. Let's just smoothen that pencil.
If you're a Mac addict, you could use Fascinating. I know a lot of people have that, but to me a white pencil is a white pencil. So that one works fine. Then were going to apply the shimmer. The reason I've put, in case you're wondering, the reason I put a pencil on first before I put the shimmer on. Well it’s going to help the pigment stick a little bit. It’s like a base. And as I've said before I only really use base if I'm using either loose shadows. Really light colors. Dark colors or bright colors. So I really wouldn’t use a base if I'm doing like a normal brown. So but this, 239, just a flat brush. Spray it with a mix medium. That’s just water basically, the fix floss. To apparently charged, I don’t know what that means. Then if you take some of that pigment, tap it on your brush. And then pat it on. You get it on your eyelashes and just try and push it off. I don’t know if you can see the shimmer on it.
The thing is about this that I really like is it hasn’t got big chunks of glitter. It’s very fine. So that’s that. I'm just going to take the pencil brush quickly in, just neaten the crease a bit more. Get a gel liner. I'm using a Benefit’s Get Bent brush. You can use a pen liquid liner thing if you want. I used use that not long ago when I found it was that easy to use.
Right. So I’ll just tell you that I'm not going to put any eyeliner on the inner section here. I'm keeping all this free, that’s going to make the eye look bit more open. I'm going to start basically from where my own eyeliner starts, which is like here. The gel is drying up a little bit so it’s not going on as smooth as I want it to. What you want to do is just pull from that lash line underneath. Pull it a little bit on that lower lash line. Stop just before you go half way.
Then I'm going to go inside the eye with the brown gel liner. The reason is, I don’t want it to look as harsh. So I'm going with the same color that I've use throughout which is the kind of like reddy brown. And this is a gel liner by Coastal Scents. I think they are like $6 or something. So you could get a few of them and wouldn’t break the bank.
So when that dries, the eyeliner, I'm just going to go on with these lashes. They are quite tapered, so the ideal for this kind of eye that I'm doing. Because they're short and then they kind of sweep out so they're longer at the edges. And that’s the kind of look that was going for. It’s a very pulled out look and a very romantic kind of eye.
And that’s the look all finish. On my lips, I just went really girly pink. This is A Angel by Mac. This is Turkish Delight by NOZ. Hope you can see it properly because I have to say this light is rubbish. I hope you like it. So thanks for watching again. Bye.
