Well, in this video, I want to speak to you about something important and we all need to develop a 10 touch plan. How do you touch your clients at least 10 times a year by email, face to face, by telephone. For me, one of the easiest ways is to have an online newsletter.
Now, I have my own newsletter and it goes up quarterly and the great thing about it, you can insert photographs into it. The thing is your newsletter is got to be very, very client or customer focused. It’s got to be all about them. How can you help them grow their business? How can you help them to be better in what they dream? The great thing about it is you can add audio, you can add video, and I normally like to see—on a Thursday about 11 am, just my own research has shown me that that works best. So, what do you put in to your online newsletters? So, here are couple of things that I use.
Drop down eight questions your clients have asked you in the past. You must probably get a lot of the same kind of questions, just write those down. Now, what you do is you answer each one in a short article because if you’ve got those from a few of your clients, many of your other clients are going to have the same thing in their minds. And they’re going to wonder to read those same kinds of articles. Again, if you’re being on any training courses, if you’re being to any conferences, workshops, seminar, any way that you’ve been that you’ve picked up some great ideas or helpful hints, why don’t you share those with all of your customers, your clients and your readers.
Offer a list of your five or 10 top tips on a certain topic. So, I found an Eco expert. I have my five top tips on search engine optimizations. I have my top 10 tips on how to use Google and words. Also, if you read a lot of books like I do, I read about five business books a month, you’re always going to pick up some great ideas in there. So, why don’t you recommend books or resources or have some reviews on some of the great books that you’ve been reading. So, there are just a few ideas that you can use on what to put into your online newsletter.
Remember, in my book prospecting for sales, I’ve got a many, many ways of how to find new clients and business whether it's face to face or on the internet. And some of these strategies include cold calling. What to say? How do you say it including a whole lot of scripts that really work? Referrals, how unwind do you ask for referrals? What do you actually say?
A swap meeting is where you meet with people selling to the same client base as you but then are not competition. Clubs and social activities, I love getting low cost, no cost marketing. So, I’ll show you how to use periodicals and magazines to get free advertising. Centers of influence, these are people that may never buy from you but if you know how to develop a center of influence, they will be pausing on more referrals than you could imagine.
Seminars, I speak all over the world and I would say to everybody go and join Toastmasters International, the world’s largest non-profit self-development organization. It teaches you all the confidence and speaking skills to run your own seminars, just keeping your eyes and ears open, personal observation. Telemarketing, in the book prospecting for sales, I’ll show you how to use effective telemarketing. How do you look off to your old clients better than ever before? How do you develop a 10-touch plan for your existing clients? There are many ways you can market and brand yourself.
