How to Create a Night Vision Effect in Sony Vegas
Hey guys! This is Justin from WEKNOWIT Productions. And today, I’ll be doing another Sony Vegas tutorial. Today, I’ll be teaching how to do the Night Vision Effect. If you look up to the top right, you will see a link to where this was used--. So what you want to do is first have a video clip of you doing whatever, you’re acting like you’re a night vision. Second set, open Sony Vegas—sorry for my voice, it’s kind of weird, I have a cold right now. So go to File, Import, Media, pick your picture or get your picture or video you want to use but I used Force Effect which I will be showing you how to do later. So it’s good at the beginning have your clip or whatever. Go to Video FX or right click, Video Event FX, go to Sony Black and White, click add, okay, you can change that or whatever. So the whole video is in Black and White. Next, what you’re going to do is just right click, go to Video Event FX again, you can delete that if you want. And then go to Sony Color Balance, add, okay. So as you see the green right here, you have to move the red and blue down or your green you move it up or down, just mess around with it. But the better way to do this is to just re-import it, go to Video FX, go to Black and White, 100% Black and White, drag it on your video, scroll down to Color Balance, go to Green Highlight just drag it and drop it. It’s basically the same but it looks better. So you can mess around with that, Make it more green, you can just do whatever. So when you hit play, it’s your Night Vision.
