On behalf of tvlesson.com, this is Lizbeth Muller from Liz’s Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida.
In this clip I’m going to show you how to do a soft hanging bun. I want to just go ahead and take
the hair and have it kind of smooth, if the client has or you have hair that’s a little wavy, just
smooth up all the edges. Push my hands a little bit and I’m going to start to twirl my hand, if you
can roll it, if you can roller set your hair or have it nice curls the day before that will be great,
because this is just something very gently done. Ok, I want to go ahead and pull it in and just pin
it. I think it was Nicole Kidman who did this recently and she looks fabulous. It’s just very
gently done, here’s, was hanging a little lower into the side, but this can go a little sideways or it
can go a little long down to the nape. You just make it hang very softly, you don’t have to be too
neat, that’s not a neat thing.
You notice that it’s just Trento, push it in again with pins. You can use your pins just to let it just
hang down. I like the pieces to hang down here like this, just dropping. Just grab this here, pin in
if it’s too low underneath, you just pin it again. You spray it with spray, drop the piece down
here too, also. And pin up a little bit more on this side, making sure it’s a secure thing, because
even though it’s soft, you want it to be secure, and the loose ends. Use your soft pins to pin the
little ends that are lose. And you’re going to wrap it up by just putting that extra pin in spray net
it. Open it up like if there’s a bun, and there you have it, soft hanging bun.
