Hello and welcome to this tutorial brought to you by adobenicnacs and what we’re going to be doing in this one is I'm going to be showing you tonight these cool little design elements here really easily. And each one turns out different, so it's really quite cool.
So what we’re going to do is we’re going to go to file, new, we’re going to create a new document. It does not matter what size it is. I’m using my large wallpaper preset. You’ll probably want a black background, so I'm just going to invert the color of mine by pressing CTRL-I, create a new layer. Next, what we want to do is grab our brush and these are the settings I'm using. Here you go, so I'm just using a 15-pixel hard edged brush, obviously depending on the size of the document. You may want that to be bigger or smaller, but you will want it to be hard edged.
So then, what we’re going to do is choose color, quite bright. I want to use this bright purple here. Then all we want to do is draw a larger scribble on here. Don’t go too close to the edge and don’t make it too big. So, just draw some scribble, move it down slightly. And then, you want to go to filter, make sure it stays down. Then you want to go to filter, blur, and you want to choose radial blur. I've set it to what is likely the default.
So, what you want to do is amount of 100. You want the blur method to be zoom and you want the quality to be best. Then you just want to drag the blur center down to the bottom, press OK. Now, depending on how fast your computer is, this will take a while. Obviously, if you're running a top spec, then this will be done in a matter of seconds. But if it doesn’t, you're going to have to wait. And there you go, that simple really, just draft this a bit and you’ve done it. Luckily to say, this will turn out different every time because you can't really draw the same design exactly the same twice.
And you can experiment doing different designs to see what happens. And it's really quite a cool effect. If you want to make it a bit more less transparent, so to speak, just hold CTRL-J on your keyboard. That would duplicate the current layer and you can see it sort of doubles up. And then just hold CTRL-E to merge them down. And there you go, that’s how you do it.
