Hey guys this is Eric, and in this tutorial and motion we are going to go if we have the scene we are looking at right here. Every time I do it comes out a little different, so we will see how it is going to come out this time as you can see I have one here, let us see, we have that one, then we got this one here, we play it, you can see the earth is spinning and we got our sun.
You know I am just going to show you the basics. I have a couple here that I did a little more tricky on it, we’re not going to have time to do, but you can get into it with your flares as you can see right here. This one doesn’t look to bad. I’ve added the purple mist and the rotation of the earth, as you can see right there it is rotating slowly and this was done just taking a little more time okay.
Also, after together in shape, you know just to see what it looks like here as you can see. I put the mist to it and shape, just to see the different. Okay so what is going on, so were going to make that from scratch so let us go ahead and get a new project going here. And line everything up.
Okay, now you can go to Google Images and get you images of the earth, as you can see here they're just a flat map of the earth, and there is this. And there will be a cloud match right along with it, but these are not Google Images. I am going to import both seven right on top of one another. Okay so I will open up a project and I am going to change my clouds layer the blend mode to screen.
Okay now that gives us this cloud look over the top of our earth map. Select out-group go on to our inspector, let us make our group 3D. First before we do that, let us go to property and scale it down, right there. Now let us go to our group and make it 3D. Now, to our group we are going to add filter, distortion, sphere. Now when we do this you will see that this kind that we put a sphere about to our globe. So I want to up the radius here. I mean lower the radius down, towards round that so, now we have our clouds and our earth and we have a sphere filter put on it, and everything looks good. So now we are going to innovate it to make a look like it’s spinning, so make sure your play have a beginning, select your clouds, select your 3D transform tools up here, let us turn on record button put our play head at the end, work on that.
And let us just drag our cloud layer to the right a little bit. As you see when we do that it spins. So I'm going to drag it about that far, like that. And I am going to place my play head back into the beginning, select my earth map put the play head out at the end and pull it over to the right a little it and let it spin as you can see.
That far looks good, turn of my record button and when I play this back, you will see our earth and clouds are spinning for the sample stuff okay. So let us stop that, put our play head back at the beginning. Now we have our basic earth. So now what we are going to do is we are going to add some stars behind that. So let us add a new group and pull it down below, just make sure this group is 3D which it is, let us make sure this group is in 3D which it is.
So to this group we’re going to our library I want to type in stars or star and I want to select particle emitters and then we’re going to have our pluffer of stars here. I am going to select star field four, or maybe just regular star field with the blue in the center. And I am going to take it, I am going to drag and drop on the group we just added.
Okay now we have our stars field. So we going to open up our stars field, select our blur 08 go to our inspector and let us take this key way up to about 600, maybe let us try 400 maybe we can have a lower with out, depends on how big you make here earth. So now I am going to select our star filled and adjust using our 3D transform tools here. Now we have this blue type mist going on behind our earth okay. So now what we are going to do is we can name our groups if we want too, we’ll name this one “Stars” and we will name this up one here “Earth”. Now we are going to make another group and we are going to put this group in between our earth and stars.
All right so okay, now to this group we are going to make our sun so I am going to go to our create shapes tools and select the circle and let us draw a circle kind of make it is perfect as you can. Now I have this circle, as you can see it puts it in between our stars and our earth just select our fill color and make it orange, like so. Now we can go ahead and add some glows and stuff so let us select our circle, just go to add filter, glow, glow. Now let us turn out our opacity up and make some adjustments here. Let turn our threshold down and when we do that you will see we got what it looks like a glowing sun.
So let us go back to our properties and up our scale a little bit. Size is a little big and gesture up like this. And if you wanted to you can select your circle, if you want to add a filter, outer glow, maybe some light race if you want. That would kind of bring out a little bit, let’s adjust our expansion, our glow amount and our amount. And now we select our circle again and let us do some more adjustment in here, it looks like it’s barely poking out. So there is scale again, just tweak this around until you like what you got. Now we got looks like a little sun poking up there now, let us add some lots.
