For those who would like to attempt to cross stitch, the cross-stitch goes on a diagonal from this point to the second or to the third loop, or you can go to the fourth loop, it is up to you, and how many diagonals you want. And so basically, because you are going a longer distance, you just cannot do the basic like this. You got to add an extra one for the length. So we are going to go to the third one, in and I pull through two, pull through two and then pull through at that one.
So we are going to go into another one, one and two, going to the next one. So pull through two and pull through two. Now this is a cross-stitch.
Now we are actually physically over here but we now have to backtrack. So we go one and two, and this is where it gets kind of messy. You just turn it and get the stitch on the back and then pull through the two, pull through two, and then pull through again. And then repeat, so one and two and I go to the next one that is behind it. Pull through two, pull through two and pull through two.
So basically, what has happened now is you got—so that would just go down so that I can show you what it is going to look like. So basically you got two stitches that are now crossing but if you would turn it on the back, they are crossing back the other way. And as you can see, they are overlapping each other so it creates a very three-dimensional look, especially if you are going to do the cross stitch in the same line going all the way down through the blanket.
