Contacts
A few tips with contacts that I found kind of useful was, well, the default view is the business card view. And the business card view is nice if you only have a few contacts. But if you have like at work, I have probably over a thousand contacts more. Its pretty boring looking in. you can’t really tell the difference between important contact or jus a colleague or whatever. So, a couple of things here you can do.
Let’s create a new contact real quick. You cold double click in the blank area. That opens it up. You can right click new contact then close it up. So let’s just double click New contact. I’ve got to put this one in after I reformatted so how about Company we leave blank. Chris D assistant, we’ll do that. Okay. Leave everything else blank. We’ll just save it and what I forgot to do. I have a filter and so block set all my personal ones for you guys.
So, we should do this again one more time. We’ll just leave it like that. I got to name it “test” so it shows up on this one. So save. There we go, Just calendar. We want this one to stand out right? So let’s double click it. Here’s the contact info. The same screen we’re just on. Let’s change the look of this. Let’s double click this thing. This is her business card basically.
In here you can edit it. You can set like your font properties for all the fields, all these fields over here or let’s cancel it. Actually let’s go up here. Let’s add an image to this thing so I already got one. You know, because she like saying out. So you can make larger, smaller. I’ll just pt it like that and hit OK. And let’s put a phone number in here, 888-123-4567 and click Add on the phone and adds it here.
Let’s go. You want to change the color or the font or something on this number, click on it you might have to highlight it. You can make it all the way to the right, change the font color to who knows what and let’s make it Bold. Okay. And the same thing with Jessica Alba, you can italicize it. Do whatever you want, increase the size; make it smaller, who knows. Or if you don’t like the image right there you said? All right let’s do something to figure out over here. Here we go.
Image right, image top, image bottom, you get the point. And also I think you can add a picture here if you want to. So, what happens is if you’re in a different view, I think it’ll show but this is the actual business card and normally what I like to do is shrink mine down quite a bit so I can see the titles. And that way, we can get a lot of one here.
