Male: You got any ideas for fixing up all jeans?
Female: We sure do and it includes dying those jeans in this coffee grinds.
Male: Alright. The first thing you are going to do is make the dye. You will need you coffee for preferably espresso rate. We are going to use two of this, which is about 10 ounces apiece. Now, if you do not find any of this in the dumpster expect to pay about above 50 in your local supermarket. Next, is the 3 to 5 gallon bucket we pick this up for free at our neighborhood ice cream shop – Chocolate Ripple.
So you want to make a filter. Cring gave us this old stocking that we are going to cut and pour the coffee directly into. Now, tie it up, put him in the bucket and add hot water filling up about 3 quarters to the way so you leave up some room for the jeans. Let it brew for about 15 or 20 minutes. The general rule is pretty much, the darker the brew the darker the stain.
Now, I am dropping your jeans. Let it sit overnight and check your results in the morning. Now, just take them out and draw it in the washer and dryer. The result of light brown vintage tint to your jeans.
For further styling, take sand paper and couple of random objects, put them on the pockets and sand around the edges. Cheese graters really work well for small abrasions and tears. And then you can always run over it with your car. The end result, pretty ragged looking pair of jeans.
