Hello YouTube and welcome to this video tutorial. In this video, I will show you some Start Menu tops for you Windows Vista users out there and some of these tips might also apply in Windows XP users.
So basically, this is what a typical Start Menu interface looks like on Windows Vista. You got you Internet Browser, all your shortcuts and such and such but if some people there in this e-mail link to Windows Live Mail which basically a Hot Mail bur for those of you who do not even use Hot mail, you use G mail, AOL or Yahoo, then you do not use or need this. So, I will show you how you can get rid of that.
You can just right click anywhere on your Task bar, this empty space and click Properties. Then you want to go to Start Menu, this Start Menu tab, click Customize and just uncheck the box that says E-mail link and click OK, Apply and then OK. And now it will do a couple the seconds to load and it will be gone. And make looks—it just makes it looks a lot a—you have more space and yeah, you do not even need that shortcut.
And for those of you who switch to Windows Vista, you might notice that the run command is gone and basically what you can do is while we’re at it, right click and click Properties again, Start Menu, Customize, scroll all the way down over here and check the Run command box and the thing is, once you do that , the Run will be down here but it will look, just make it a little bit bigger. So if you do not actually use Help and Support, you can actually get rid of that.
Let us go a little bit up and just uncheck the box that says Help and click OK, Apply and OK. So what this does is, we got rid of the E-mail link that we do not use and we replace the Help and Support with the Run command and yeah, if you use Run a lot, then you might need this or you can use click—hold the Windows key and R or Tools so open it up.
So that was just a quick tip. Please rate, comment and subscribe if you like this video and thanks for watching. Peace out!
