A dog will not "bleed to death" from a quicked nail! That is just silly to scare people like that. A quicked nail is not a big deal and a little Kwik Stop or even cornstarch will stop the bleeding. It does hurt though, so he is correct in how he clips a little at a time. He doesn't show you how to tell when you are close to the quick though. When you see a black dot in the center, that is where you need to stop. I am a professional dog groomer.

Hey, hello dudes. We are here to make our first review on how to cut dog's nails. Make sure that you don't cut the nail. This is Jake right here. He is going to do the demonstration and Maxine which is over here will get her nails next.

Always make sure your dog is relaxed before you clip his nails. Grab his paw, put a little pressure on the top and bottom, make sure you grab the finger. Place the clipper in. Snip! Their nails something are very dark and black and very hard to see. So you do not want to go all way into the nail because what will happen you'll cut the vein and the dog may bleed to death. You want to make sure you have the gunpowder pan so that you can stop the bleeding immediately.
