All right folks, had an e-mail from a Eugene and it got me thinking, basically they got night on and they are playing to a crowd, I think it is about 700 people, now they were going to get small PA. But the thing is with regards to PA, you got to remember this particular philosophy and that is you can turn a small PA not up. But you can turn a big PA up as long as you want but you can also turn it down where as a small PA you can not turn it up so if you are playing let say to your hiring gear and you got a thousand people, it is better to have something that will blast them as suppose to getting something that half way through the night they will be basically saying turn the blinking things up. Now the new PA systems like I said before, you got a box down and speaker, if you are looking at it like that, what we are looking at there is a relatively box down a speaker as you meant the bass and that is your whole. That is the thing that gets out all the trouble high frequency. Now then, what you find is that a speaker like that whether that particular driver there be 4, 6, 8, 12, 15 inch and this here be a small compression driver or just a general whole that will throw a lot of trouble, what you will find is that something like that will do for your bedroom. Will do for a small PA, small set up vocals, counter react et cetera.
But when you get to big PA systems that are when these things are good but there are a bit of a waste of time. This of vibe, and let us say for example this was a 12 inch plus a 1 inch. Now what I mean about that, 12 inch is this one here and the 1 inch is that one there. Now a speaker like that, if you got 2 of them one on either side, that would quit happily do say quit a 50 people. That is it, now you would not get much base out of a 12 inch speaker in a big room, now what you have to consider is that a 12 inch speaker in a small room the bass will travel quit nicely in that room and if people sound quit nice, but as soon as you put that in a big room it will disappear and its gone.
That whole time because there is lightly in the tunnel, now let us say for example we have got our same speaker there that is a 12 inch that is the whole like so 12 inch and a 1 inch. Now what we will do for medium size PA, where by let us say we are playing to let us say a 150 people a pole, check out Bryan Sredd, check him out. Sorry Bryan I going to have to put a bass speaker underneath you mate, and then what you will have is a base cap, there. Now then this guy here will need to be a 15 inch or an 18 inch then what happens are you got a lot of bass out there. So what would happen basically excuse upon is that you all have the boom-boom sound out there and then the middle top out there. So now what you have gone, you have gone from something that could only say supply 50 people to something that can supply over a 100 people but only supply over a 100 people.
