Term is the service transmitted from this particular drive and this is the 18th driver, okay and what happen is that is come service echoed, it is bounce from here and basically this will actually make the sound rounder. Now, if we look again the magnet in here, all right, what you can see there is like a grill. Now, basically that is heat sink because it got very hot.
Now, the magnet in here is covered, all right. The reason it is covered is because there is a lot of base frequency is in here, there is a lot of air movement. Now, if this was not covered, what would happen is the actual air movement from the big speaker would make this small speaker move so much that you would not get any sound after this and it would blow straight to it. So, this guy here has to have his own almost compartment to stop it for moving through the actual movement of the air inside the speaker but so as you made.
Now, if we just one on the time or over a little bit here will see the base. Now, again, you know, will have that, I just move that so I can see what is doing as well. Will have that as a comparison of size of magnet and if we take this when out, should be able to but on precious and do that a little bit more, all right.
We need the all screw in of driver in, it is better. Okay, now that, check this out, a lot of full coming at from release that. People will make the speaker, all right, there we go, lets do it, all right, and there you go. Now that, that is a bit of magnet, okay, this my hand in relation to the size of the magnet, okay. This is all see at 15 inch driver, this guy should take around of that 500 to 700 watts each, okay. Now, that is peak, what you mean by peak, is that they will take a mind to follow up continually that peak in serve the industry basically means for split second if you got 700 watts band straight to that speaker and then the 700 watts is taking away theoretically the space peak that actually speaker should take, okay. But if you have some hundred watts continually in that speaker, there is a good chance to speaker may blow. There was in it does not go bung or pop, what will happen is that there actual coiling, so without going into this great detail. If you imagine a one piece of wire and you could not wire it continually. What will happen is all of the sudden a part of that wire will just split it or burn on once you have lost contact from one side of the wire to the other. In other words, the burn causes the wire to break all of a sudden the speaker stops working.
Now, this particular speaker is a actually events 6,000 and this is quite good because what you can do, you can run known as passive lacktive, passive basically means, I put and one amplifier into the speaker and I run all of this individual speakers all for in through one amplifier. Active, well that means is that I would, oh! By the way, passive basically means, I would be using the cross over inside the speaker. Active means, I can have two amplifiers running this system. I can have one amplifier running this two speakers here on base and then I can have another amplifier running this two guys on middle top, all right. Now, I am just going to pause this and we have a look at the cross over inside, all right.
They go, there is cross over inside now without going into detail of that, what all lies in a bit some Bob do. Basically what they do from it easy way of explaining is that, they will contact all of the major on the top and they will only let the base speakers which is this be guide here have base sound have the boom-boom. So, another words, all of kind of this one and that one is boom-boom and not any vertical are in the middle top. Now the same applies that the opposite to the made and to the top, what will happen is the cross over will eliminate all of the base, the boom and all of that this guy and it will just have the mid going into this one and then the same applies with the treble. What will happen? Okay, is that all of the base through the cross over will be taken away and the mid through the cross over will be taken away and then separately you will just small signal with all the high frequency coming in to this guy here. So, there you go, as bet men inside into a rather large speaker and I have got put if that were go back together again.
Thank you for watching practice and enjoy.
