Lyle Hurd: Sherry, I understand that Celadrin can be very helpful in conjunction with psoriasis. Can you explain to us what psoriasis is and then how Celadrin might help interact with the body is trying to take care of their problem?
Sherry Torkos: Sure. Psoriasis is an inflammatory skin condition. For anybody that's have struggled with psoriasis, it can be unpleasant, uncomfortable, and even embarrassing. What happens in the body, researchers believe that psoriasis is caused by the immune system going haywire and basically causing rapid cell growth, rapid cell turnover, and the skin cells start turning over so quickly that they can properly be slept off and removed and you get a build up of dead skin cells, white blood cells and that leads to the development of these characteristic psoriasis plaques, where you have thickening of the skin, a lot of red and white scaling. It can be very painful for the person struggling with psoriasis.
When we look at how we deal with psoriasis, there are prescription medications, there are creams that are used to modify the immune response, there are steroid creams that are sometimes used, but they do carry with them certain side effects and risks. So one of the natural products that I recommend that can be helpful with psoriasis is Celadrin, which is a patented blend of fatty acids, that helps to reduce the inflammation, to lubricate the cell membranes and to help control some of these inflammatory process.
There has been some preliminary research done where people were applying Celadrin cream and noticed significant benefits in terms of reduced redness, reduced swelling and reduced plaquing. So I think this is something that is definitely worthwhile considering for those that are struggling with psoriasis.
Lyle Hurd: Celadrin.
Sherry Torkos: Celadrin in the cream form are for psoriasis, exactly.
Lyle Hurd: Thank you.
Sherry Torkos: Thank you.
