Interviewer: So, parents better make sure the kid does go to school if he doesn’t you should be with the guidance of the school or they can involve and sometimes kids are percussive.
Interviewee: School attendance is a very serious issue. It is also when monitored at the outside of course at their school or ACS have when it comes to what school, how a child is, being weird and behaving. There is no bigger red flag to the ACS, it is when the child have choice. That immediately alerts them and they will immediately come and investigate as to what is going on. So, it is very important that if there are school absences, it has to be explained to the school. If there are reasons why the child is not in school they have to do with the school himself because the child is afraid or there are others. You can need to discuss them with the school and the teacher. Sometimes changing schools happen so that is an extreme. Changing teachers is many times the option that is chosen and then any time that is the right way to go. Dealing with bully situations in schools is a problem so, it is one of those.
Schools is really meant to be the second home for the child during those important growing years and look at them is a place—if it is not working right figure out one now but absence is just a way of dealing with the school and not working right is not good.
Interviewer: So, you got to like -- and she speak to the guidance system in the school and your pediatrician if the kid sick may contact, make records. You will not have any trouble if that is the case.
Interviewee: Exactly.
Interviewer: The pediatrician also knows the importance of schools and the working relation between you and the schools and you and the pediatrician can usually be developed. And the school sometimes and the pediatrician will talk if there is something that they feel they need to be involved with also the benefit of how can we make this child school experience much more positive. There is a pediatrician I spoke and many are principal, many are teacher with many reports when it came to what could be done to make a school experience more positive for the child. It is a team that is taking care of this child especially when it is a young school age kid. And that school experiences especially early elementary school are very, very important. High school delinquencies are another whole issue. High school delinquencies are very serious issue across the country, drop out rates etcetera with a high prediction of unfortunate substance abuse and out of luck pregnancies etcetera.
The most successful teenager who unfortunately may have a child out of luck is if they stay in school. if they stay in school, the likelihood is they will be able to rear that child in a successful fashion and find to make or not but the childhood benefit by the teenage parents staying in school. So, schools are very important measure of success about this individual and as a family and as part of our growing society and more we can do to keep the kids in school, our life will have a much more functional society down the road.
