Hi, this is Mike Callahan, “Doctor File Finder” and welcome back to our special Butterscotch.com five part series on how to deal with spam.
Now in this segment I want to look at Challenge/Response Systems. It’s my personal opinion that these systems work the best for dealing with spam. Here I have a three part article that deals with the program choice mail one. Here it talks about email basic and spam, the second part it talks about how to fight spam with choice mail and the last part talks about how to deal effectively with spam in the business environment.
Now a Challenge/Response System is really beautifully simple. There are a group of people that you want to receive emails from, those people are on you white list. They automatically get through. There are a huge number of spam emails that you don’t want to see at all. They received a challenge those messages are challenge such the best majority of spam is send by robots they can't respond and so you never see the email and the emails are deleted.
For that small group of people that you don’t know yet but who’s emails you might like to receive they receive the challenge, they respond, they're a lot of access to your inbox so they're never challenge again. So the Challenge/Response System of fighting spam is wonderfully simple and straightforward. I've got links in the show notes to all three portions of this article. I also have a link to a Podcast that I did on my personal use of choice mail one and I also have links to choice mail and program called Zed which I've also use. So a Challenge/Response System is a very good system for dealing with spam.
Remember that this is but a part of a five series and be sure listen to all five parts.
