Now, as I said earlier when I am working at the top of the cake, I like to use a little bit small over tip. This is an eight-inch cake and this size border up here would look a little too heavy for it. So, I am going to take off this number 22 and I am going to switch to a 16, 17 or 18 is good as well, but this is the one that I happen to have handy and I could do the star border around the top edge like this, but I prefer a shell, so, I am going to continue that again.
Working on the top edge of the cake, you should be able to pick that up fairly easy. Alright, now to me this top of the garland looks a little bit loose and unfinished, so I am going to just finish it off by just putting a little star right around at the top of each of the garlands, there we go.
Now, my cake needs some leaves, and I might want to add some extra color around the bottom. A very easy border to add some color and it's a tip that I am already been using. It's very similar to making the center of the sweet pea as called flute, a shell in flute. Now, I used to play the flute when I was in band, and I can't figure out why they call this particular design a flute, but that's what they call it.
Alright, it gives us a little extra color around the bottom. I like that better and then we're going to finish off in a minute here by putting the leaves on it. This is the leaf tip that I told you in another video that I liked the best, it's number 349. It's just this nice little v-shaped, if I had some icing out of there, you could see that it's just a little v-shape tip. In order to makes leaves with it, you want to set it down near the surface of the cake, so that you do not see the V, the V is on the side. I am going to just use a little bit of a heavy pressure to begin with and then pull away and I can make my leaves a nice size like that, I can make leaves real long and skinny, there we go, get a little longer. I can make them real roughly, all depending upon the amount of pressure and the way that I am moving the bag.
So, I am going to just add some leaves on this cake here, and finish off this little design. I like to put a leaf right at the base of the flowers, and if I have a little stems sticking out or a nice little empty spot somewhere. It's an easy spot to add a leaf in to finish it, and there we go.
We have a nicely decorated cake and we are done. Thank you.
