GIFT WRAP TO BACK CONTROL
Alright, our next sweep from mount we are going to talk about is that gift wrap setup that we've used. We are going to use that, take his back. There are two different ways how we are going to do that.
So we are setting up this gift wrap the same way. We've got a good low base. He pushes up. We are going to push the back of the arm and lay on it. We do that. We are going to shoot this hand behind the head again. We are going to trap this arm.
Now we have got options. When we switch on hips and sit up what we did to finish with the gift wrap, we can take this hand and just drive this elbow to the floor and pull this hand. We are going to pull right here. We are going to push straight down right here. So we go here.
Your opponent will naturally slide over. Very easy way to get him to roll over. Some guys fight it more than others but from right here I have got some good finishing holds that we are going to talk about, but anyway that's an easy way to get into roll over from mount to where you have his back.
Again, other way. We are here. He pushes up. I just slide his arm across and lay on it. This hand goes under and grabs the wrist. I switch my base. I sit up. This hand drives the elbow straight to the ground. This one pulls it straight backwards. Go on here, and I use my hips to just ride him over all the way to a back mount. That's one way.
If the guy has really strong shoulders, you're afraid he won't roll over, there is another way we can get to do this.
We are here. We set up this gift wrap the same way here. When I grab it right here, I want to switch my stance and I want to pull up. You can use this arm through if you want, however, you can reach around, back of the head however you want to do it. We just want to get his shoulders up off the ground and when we do our knee, it's close as up to his shoulder. It's going to slide in behind him, there is other one, it's going to go ahead and set the hook.
So all in one motion, we're just going to sit him up and sit behind him all the way around. Again, we are here. We setup the gift wrap. He pushes up. We are here all in one motion. We sit up, hook in.
Going the other way. We are here. The opponent pushes up, slide him across, catch it, reach up, catch it. When we switch our hips, now this one is going to drag across and setup hook right here. The other knee is going to slide under and set the other hook. We are here all in one notion, we're just sitting straight up here and set the hook. It's a good way to get the back on a strong opponent.
From this angle, we are here. We are going to set up this gift wrap right here. We're still all in one motion and we slide our knee under right here. All in one motion. I just slide all the way around to his back.
Going the other way. We are here. He pushes up, slide to gift wrap over, hook it. We switch on base. All in one motion slide behind him. I just pull straight up and slide my hooks over.
Last angle, we are here. He pushes up. Slide the arm over, catch it with the gift wrap. Switch off base and all in one motion I am going to sit behind him. Still holding this. I like to hold this until I have a good solid base on his back. I have both my hook set.
Going the other way. We are here. Slide that across. Reach under, grab it. If you feel it hurts on grabbing this, his arm is out, he can speed it to yourself with this arm. Striking his arm length just beat it to yourself. I switch my base. I sit up and sit around all in one motion. Pull him up. Sit up and around. All the way till I got his back.
Last angle, from behind so you can see how I am moving my hips under. Pull it down or when he pushes up, we speed to gift wrap. Switch our base. We are going to sit behind him. You sit up and sit behind him, all in one motion.
Going the other way. He pushes up. We speed to gift wrap. We grab all in one motion. We sit up and across all the way to the back.
It's a good way to use the gift wrap. Take your opponent's back, you can either force the elbow down and force him to turn underneath you or you can sit him up and you can sit in behind him. That two options there to take your opponent's back from the mount.
