GUARD CHAIN 1
The first chain of attacks that we are going to through from the guard is I am going to start with all of our sweeps. So we are really trying to attack our opponent's base here. So we are on a bar.
We are going to start with scissor sweep. We are going to setup the scissor sweep, just like we build the other sweeps, as soon as we start the scissor sweep and basing his knee out. So immediately go for the Mayflower where he posed that leg. So we hook under it. We go for the elevator but he pushes his leg out and loose our hook. So we go for the knee push. For whatever reason he pulls the knee down, we've missed it. Immediately we sit up with the Kimora sweep, alright. Here is where the chain splits. The first sweep we're going to work on. We are going for this Kimora sweep and he pulls his arm back. When he pulls his arm back we attack with the Kimora. You sit out we go for the Kimora.
Assuming we missed the Kimora, we are going to go here for the omo-plata. Assuming the opponent feels to come in, he rolls, as soon as he rolls we turn it, bicep cutter. For any reason we missed the bicep cutter, we go straight over into the mount.
One more time from another angle. We are here. We start with scissor sweep. He posed his knee out, we can't get the sweep. We go under. He posed the leg on the other side. We go up to the elevator. He moves his knee back and try for the knee push, he pulls the knee and we missed it. Immediately we are sitting up and across, we go for a Kimora sweep. We go to sweep, he posed his arm back. We see that arm go back, immediately go for the Kimora. When we go for the Kimora we missed it for whatever reason pose the head up, sit up, oma-plata. He rolls from the omo-plata, turn, bicep cutter. We missed the bicep cutter, we are going into the mount.
One last angle, scissor sweep, he spreads his base out. We attack his base, Mayflower. He goes here. We will go for the elevator. Moves the leg back, knee push. He draws it in, we missed it, immediately, sit up for the Kimora sweep and push the arm back, we attack the Kimora. We missed the Kimora we pose the head, omo-plata. He rolls the omo-plata over, we go for the bicep cutter. We miss the bicep cutter, we lay in the mount position.
Alright, we are going to show that chain as submissions now or we are going to lay in each step individually one step further each time. So we are going to start. It's going to be step one. It's going to be the scissor sweep. Then we are going to go to in the Mayflower, then the elevator. We are going to show you one step at a time, what the attack should look like.
I am going to get the scissor sweep. So I am here. I lay in the scissor sweep. This time I took the scissor sweep, my opponent's base's is based up, we're here immediately. Mayflower, up and over. This time scissor, spreads out, Mayflower and pose; immediately, elevator. This time have to be elevator. We are going to go pushing. So scissor sweep, spreads out, Mayflower, pose, elevator, push back. Knee push all the way over. This time it's going to end on Kimora sweep.
So scissor sweep, he spread out, Mayflower, pose, elevator, he pushes back, knee push, he pull in, we sit up, Kimora sweep all the way over. This time we are going to end it with the Kimora.
One, two, three, four, five, six.
So we are going to end up with omo-plata.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
So I am going to do it with the bicep cutter.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Now we are going to end in mount.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine.
That's an excellent drill that you can do with your partner to really work on your chain attacks.
