OMO-PLATA
Our first submission from the mount is going to be an Omoplata, we're going to set it up from a S-mount. It's really kind of simple in nature, requires a little bit of flexibility, little bit of timing, but it opens you up for some nice options.
So we're here, we just set up our S-mount, we come up and do a good solid S-mount. What I want to do is, I want to take his far side arm, reach under, all the way to my elbow, it's touching my foot. I like to hook my own foot, helps me when I am rolling over, personal preference, if you can do without doing it, that's fine.
We're here, what I want to do, I really want to scoop this arm back as far as possible. That's really going to help me out a lot, okay? So I went from here , I shot this arm through, scooped it with my elbow. When I do that, I like to post the head and sit back and try to put this foot right on the floor. So we're here, I am going here, get your foot, time to react. Well, you are trying and your opponent will not have. We lay in here, sit up, we've got the Omoplata, okay?
Other direction, really simple in nature but really powerful technique especially if you got some flexibility. So we guard up, we're sitting in a good S-mount, his far side arm, up and under, and scoops it all the way, alright? So I am here, shooting it through, grabbing. As soon as I grab it, I am going to sit back, so I put this foot right on floor, post the head, I sit back, all the way over. Now, stood up, very powerful Omoplata, alright?
I am here, come up, got a really good S-mount going. We jump in under, and hook, grabbing my own foot, personal preference. Now post his head and I am going to sit back with this foot on the floor, I'll lay over grab the floor, right here. Look the other way. We're here, now pull up, good S-mount, alright? A good solid S-mount. This arm, underneath his far side arm, and hooking, grabbing my own foot, I post the head. If you want to post the head and kind of reach out him far side of the shoulder to pull him up, and get a little center, that's fine.
We're here. When I do this, I put this foot right on the floor. Pull out, I am in a solid Omoplata position, alright? Last angle.
I am here. I have attacked him, good S-mount, reach end and through grabbing my own foot, posting on the head. While I am here, I sit back, I put this foot across here, all the way over. Then it should be Omoplata.
Same angle, going the other way. We're here, pulled up, good solid S-mount, good solid S-mount is the key to submission. Hold in, hooking the arm. When I hook the arm, I take this foot across his head, put it right on the ground, all the way over, grabbing, lifting, good Omoplata position. It's a good set up for your Omoplata from the S-mount.
