S-MOUNT ARMBAR
Our next submission from the mount is out of that same S-mount we just talked about, which is actually an Armbar. We're going to use the same step up as we the can opener on the jack, we're going to ride on him, and then all in one motion, we're going to sit into an S-mount, okay? So we're here. We set into an S-mount.
I like to go ahead and try for this. If nothing else, it at least hurts and puts him in some pain, but for the Armbar, you can probably already see where this is going, it's a real simple set up for the Armbar. I take this, and I push it from my chest. I like to isolate the head or bug the neck. I am real big about bugging the neck. But we just have to make sure that this arm doesn't stay here, when we just try for the arm bar. We just push it over here in front of us.
That's really to do, and then we're just going to give ourselves a little push, this leg comes around. We set back into the Armbar, and get the tab.
On the other side, real simple set up, we've got a good high mount going. We sit up into a S-Mount, okay. See how my legs are making the S. I am pinching them together underneath hsi shoulders. When we're here, push this on in front of me, screw around and sit back, into the Armbar.
Different angle, we're here. I sit up. I've got a good high mount, sit into an S-mount, push the arm over. When his elbow is on my sternum, I am good to go, okay? I like to feed through and go ahead and catch it. This lets me know he is not going to be able to get it back. If I don't do this, if I moved it over, and then I try to go for the Armbar, he moves it back, I haven't accomplished anything. I move it over, and I like to catch it right here. I just hook the head, bug the neck whatever you want to do. Swing your leg around, sit back into the Armbar. Other side from this angle, I go up into an S-mount. I like to push the elbow over, catch it with this arm, swing the outside leg around. Finishing the Armbar.
That's your basic Armbar that we set up in a couple of different positions. We're just setting it up on the S-mount. There's two submissions to change together really nicely. If we're here, we can start with a can opener. I've got a good S-mount going. I can start here. If he starts reaching up to defend it, I just push that up, go straight to the Armbar. Start really working on chaining your attacks together, chaining your submissions, your sweeps, your escapes and this is a good one that you could add to your arsenal.
