TRIANGLE FROM MOUNT
The next position that we are going to work is going to be the triangle from the mount position. Bunch of different setups for it. One that I like to use a lot is when the guys are trying to need an elbow escape, they are digging their elbows in, I like to put both hands flat on their chest, and out pull at least one if not both of my legs up directly over their elbows. Now you are in two or three good shots, I promise, you those arms come flying out. So here all I am doing, I just throw all my weight right there, pull my legs out and pinch his elbows, boom, boom, all stuff flying out, okay. We are going to assume you get a good bite on one of these arms or if your opponent is trying to go for a back door escape.
What I want to do is I want to choose whichever arm I am attacking, in this case I will attack this side. I am going to push back, I am going to slide up and all the way over. I am going to do an S-Mount, but I am trying to kind of do it over his shoulder, alright. So I am here, I pull this knee up and over his elbow on this side pinching it down really close. Immediately I have to start closing the distance, I close the gap, I swing this knee out wide, I trap this shoulder up really high. If I need help I can even grab it, okay. When I do this, slide up. This is already secured, I mean, you've already got this submission pretty tight. Push this across you can get the triangle from sitting forward or you can get it from when you are setting it up, and whenever you start to pull here your opponent starts to sit up, that's fine. You can finish the triangle from here, okay.
Going the other way, attacking this side. Pinch that down, I pinch, this knee is really hard, I go with the kind of an S-Mount without the arm. Immediately I pull the head, I can pose the arm across and I can finish it from sitting up and forward or whatever I start creating -- whatever I start closing this distance and I am here, if my opponent sits up, that's fine, just keep the head close to me. I'll finish right there.
Another angle. For your view I am attacking this side. This leg was up and around here, alright, I can clear my knees out here really wide and pinch down really hard here, immediately I start closing the distance. I rip the head, throw this leg behind, I can finish it here from being forward or my opponent tries to sit up, control the head, get the triangle.
Going the other way, and here pose this wrist down, that knee comes up and around. I am sliding up immediately, throw this arm across, lift the head, I finish by throwing the triangle or if he rolls us, control the head, into the triangle.
Last angle, going this way. I am here, this knee comes up and around immediately start closing distance, so this arm across. See here he sits up, controlling the head, I get the arm, I get the triangle.
Other way, I am here, closing down, immediately I stood up, I go to the S-Mount, dump the arm controlling the head, this is key, got the man take control of his head. I'll get this leg deep behind him, he sits up, that's fine we'll even help him. You will be able to finish the triangle for your opponent, he sits all the way up or you can literally finish maintaining the mount position.
