HOW TO DIG TRENCHES FOR OUTDOOR LIGHTNING
Dean: Hey, I’m Dean.
Derrick: I’m Derrick with DIY Networks Indoors Out.
Dean: And we’re here to give free tips on digging outdoor trenches for low voltage lights.
Derrick: Before you start digging coal you determine departments, find out your cable, your phone and your electricity off.
Dean: Now work efficiently, go to your local rental store, get yourself a powered trencher, it can cost you about a hundred box.
Derrick: Also, get yourself a trenching spade. Look at this tool, it’s nice and thin it will help you dig the trench for that 12inch depth that you need.
Dean: Now start laying your wires, it’s a good idea to get yourself 1-inch PVC pipe. That way you snake wires through. In the future when in you're in the backyard and you dig again, you won’t cut your wires in half.
Derrick: The next step is to filling your trench but before, don’t be an idiot you’re doing this too soon, you’ve got to get it tested make sure everything works the way you want to, and then you can fill it in.
