Hi, I am Nate Pritchett and you are watching Pinks 101. Today, I want to teach you how to do a burn out.
There are two purposes for doing a burn out. One is to clean off the tires. Two is to heat your tiles for optimal attraction. The proper way to do a burnout is the first make sure you pull all the day through the water.
The water helps friction. Obviously, your styles are going to spin in here once they have some water on them. Each tire has a specific temperature it should reach base on the manufacturers recommendation. Once you have completed your burnout, you would be able to hook as you leave the starting line.
With the car and gear, apply pressure to the front breaks. This can be done using what called a line lock. A line lock is via, but only allows pressure to go to the front break keeping the rare breaks free during your burnout.
With the line, lock activated, press the accelerator. Once the tires begin to spin, shift to a higher gear. In my car, I go through all three gears. Be careful not to over rapid so you do not hurt the motor. I am Nate Pritchess we will see at the track.
