Jay Jay: Give me any number between one and 52.
Male: 13.
Jay Jay: 13? One-three?
Male: Yeah.
Jay Jay: Put up both of your hands, put them like that. Thirteen cards. My favorite card is the Ace of Spades, do you want to change your mind?
Male: No.
Jay Jay: No, thirteen cards. Look at this. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, to the thirteenth card, you could’ve said any number. Ace of Spades, here it is.
Male: Oh! Good man. You're good. You're really good brother.
Jay Jay: Thanks brother.
Male: That’s a good one there.
Jay Jay: Cool, huh! You guys have a good night.
Hey! What's up? Jay Jay here, giving you the secret of this cool card trick. Find your favorite card, mine is the Ace of Spades, okay, and you want to place it on the bottom of the deck. Now, what you say to your audience, you say, “My favorite card is the Ace of Spades, but I’m not going to find it, you are.” Now what you’ve done now has created emotional or you created a little a story, you’ve made it sort of bit mysterious, now they're -- and they say, “Really?” And you go, “Look, give me any number between one and 52.” Now you say, whatever -- because we’re doing this trick, let’s just say seven, okay, they can say any number though. What you're doing here is you're doing a secret move called the glide. In magic, what it looks like is you are dealing the cards one at a time but you're keeping the bottom card or any card, you're just pulling this card back. So pretty much what you do is this. You hold the deck, thumb on top, fingers on bottom and about the first of the line where your knuckles are, while you sort of hand this. Don’t grip it too tight. Don’t put it too far back in your hand. Don’t put it deep in your hand. Don’t put it right on the top. Just sort of in the middle area.
And what's going to happen, you're going to grip the deck, not too hard and you're going to pull this card back, not much, just a little tiny bit, okay, so that you can grab out the card. You don’t want to make it so small that you can’t grab and you don’t want to make it too big that it pops out. You don’t want people seeing that.
So you just want to do it in a little way that -- okay. Back a tiny bit. So, after you’ve done that, you're doing the secret move down, don’t do up here, do it here, okay. So I say, the Ace of Spades is already in the bottom, I say, “I need you to find my favorite card, give me a number between one and 52.” So they say seven, I do the secret move, okay, now, I deal down either on their hand or in the table. You count down seven cards, one, two, three, four, five, six, now on the seventh card, you need to flick this card back to make it look natural, so what you're doing is you're getting your pinky finger, see how I’m holding the deck, okay, just to make sure. Then you just sort of just going to square up as you're dealing the cards. Don’t do this. Don’t go one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, it just looks weird, okay. You want to make it as natural as possible because if you're really going to take seven cards, it would look like that, okay. So, seven cards, you go, “Give me any number, seven, okay look.” One, two, three, four, five, six, on the seventh card, you push this one in and then you deal this card down. Look at them and say, “I didn’t influenced you to say that, no. Turn it over.” And it’s the Ace of Spades.
All from the beginning now, the Ace of Spades in the bottom, give me any number between one and 52. Nine? Check this out? One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, to the ninth card, you name the card, my card, my favorite card is the Ace of Spades, turn it over and its my card. That’s a really cool trick.
