The next I am going teach are the cuddle and the tuck turn from open position. Now, the cuddle is very similar to what that one move we already did. You start out in open position and guys, remember on the reverse turn where you brought you left hand across her face, you are going to do that same thing but stay on the same place and hold on with your right hand and bring her in so that she is next to you, not directly next to you, not right in front of you but slightly in front of your right hip.
And leaders, you connection should be down at her hips, not too high, not too low. You could really rest your left hand on her left elbow and your other hand should be kind or resting on her hip. So you have a tight connection.
You got a lot of control with this move and where you want to turn her. Let us try it again. Let us get in open position, on the step, step you bring her in and then after the rock step, you send her out, step, step rock step. Let us give it a try and then we will give you a few pointers on it. Five, six, a five six seven.
Her we go, step, step, get ready bring her in, step, rock step, step let her out, rock step, step.
Now, when you let her out, you will notice we have got the twisted hand again so you will do the reverse turn to fix your hand. Let us try it again.
Step, step get ready bring her in, step, rock step, step, let her out, rock step, step.
Now, another point about this is if you just stay in one place while you are bringing her in, you are going to close line her, step, step, rock step.
The ladies are moving backward and in order to stay with her, the gentlemen have to take the big step back with their right foot. So, they move with her back.
So guys, footwork is going to be like this. Step, step, rock step step, step back and a rock step. Let me try that again. Step from this position, step, step, rock step step, step, back and a rock step. You are meeting her movement. Five, six, seven.
Here we go, step, step, get ready, bring her in, step back and a rock step, step, let her out, rock step, reverse, turn, rock step, step.
Another pointer for the gentlemen is do not release her to early. Wait until the second step once you get her in there.
When I say let her out, then you let her out but not before. Step, get ready bring her in, step back, rock step, step, let her out, rock step reverse, turn, rock step, step.
You wait till that second beat. When I send her out, I do so on her back with the inside of my forearm. Watch again from a different angle. Five, six, seven, now.
Here we go, step, step, get ready, bring her in, step back, rock step, step, let her out, rock step, reverse turn, rock step, step.
Like with all the other moves, ladies do not go out until the gentlemen signals you, until he sends you out, this is a lead follow dance and the guys are kind of in charge in this dance.
Guys are the boss.
In this dance at least. We are going to teach you a slight variation to the cuddle. As you bring her in, then you send her back out, instead of doing the reverse turn, bring her back in twice. You could do it up to 3x if you would like but any more that, it is going to get pretty boring, then you send her out and do the reverse turn. We are going to practice the cuddle with this music. The routine is going to go one basic then two cuddles right in a row then reverse turn and then we will go back to our basic. But remember, when you practice, do not just practice the routines that we give you here, gentlemen, you decide how many cuddles you want to do and you decide when you want to do them because this is a lead follow dance. Let us give it a try with the music. Five, six, a basic then to cuddle.
Here we go, step, step, get ready, bring her back, step back and step, let her out, bring her in, step back, rock step, step, let her out.
Now, reverse turn.
Rock step, reverse turn, rock step, step.
Reconnect.
Step, rock step, step, step.
