Male Speaker: Submissions 101! Dan and I are going to demonstrate a guard pass, a double underhook guard pass. So here we go!
Dan: The nice thing of this pass is you can do it whether they had a gi or no-gi, even shorts is fine. First thing I am going to do like any pass, I am going to post up on the belly, look to the ceiling, get a nice posture. My knee is going to be right between his butt.
When I do that, I am going to hit back and then open my hips. My weight was shifting back and as soon as I do that, I've got space here that I can utilize. First thing; one, two, both hands under, nice and tight. So I might be around his hips and I am going to stack him up. Then I am just going to drop this hand to the mat, push down inside and out.
One, wedge, push, open up the space, nice and tight, just back him up, put your hand on the mat and then drop it aside now. A little quicker this time! Underhook pass!
