Hi stampers! This is the box, the two, four, six, eight mini treat box that I did a video on previously. And, I want to show you the Dry Embossing, which I applied to the side of this box. Hopefully that is picking that up, but I am going to show you how I did that today.
I am using the Barely Banana and that is the textured card stock, and this is for the box. I am just going to show you the dry embossing. If you want to see the video, it is in my stamping gallery. So check that out.
All right, so lets get started. This is the light table that Stampin’ Up! sells. And there is actually a stand underneath there, so you can set it up at an angle to work better on the surface. But for the sake of the video, I am just going to go ahead and lay it flat. And there is a light switch at the bottom right in front. You are just going to flip that on and hold it in for a minute and then the light table is going to come on.
And then I am going to use the Bodacious Bouquet Brass template that we saw, that is retired now. But I mainly want that flower because it matches the “three for you” flower punch. It really matches. It is cute. So I am going to use this brass template. Now what you are going to do is – I am using the removable Scotch tape. And you are going to peel two pieces of that off. And then, I am going to – let me see which way is it easier. I guess, we will do it this way.
I am going to apply this tape to the brass template and put it on the light table. And this tape will not be permanent, so you can remove the brass template, it would not hurt your light surface. Okay, so then I am going to take my card stock. Now, I am using the textured card stock, so – and I want the textured side out. And you want to remember this too for your cards or your scrapbook pages because whatever side you want showing out, that is the side you want to put facing down. So, since I want the textured side showing out on my box like on this one, I am going to lay the textured side down on to my brass template.
And then also, now here is a quick tip for you. Here is some wax paper. I just going to crumple that up and I am going to rub it across the card stock. This helps the stylist to move smoothly across your card stock so it will not get jammed up. And then I am just going to position this card stock over top of the brass template. Now, the light underneath the light table will show through the image that I want to put on my card stock. Now, dark card stock will not work because it does not show through. So hopefully, that is picking that up. So, like the night of navy in your black, you know the darker shades of your card stock will not show through on the light.
So I am using the Barely Banana, and what you are going to do now – I am using the Stampin’ Up! stylist for the dry embossing and it is double-ended. You have a smaller tip and a larger tip. I am going to use the larger tip for my flower. And all you are going to do is you just going to put pressure – I want that position right there over that flower. You see, hopefully that is shown that up on the video. But the light is showing me right where to go.
So what I am going to do, is I am just going to follow that outline with my stylist. I am just going to put some pressure, as I am moving the stylist across my card stock and you will see the indentation. When you are moving that, it is kind of like coloring. So just go ahead and do all your whole image. So your card stock is dry embossed, and there is that. Hopefully, you can see that.
I want to go ahead and add a little tiny dot here. So I am going to use the smaller end for that because that gets in there really good in this little tiny flowers. So I am just going to position my card stock over top of that, those dots. And I am just going to push that through, like that. And I want to move it over and do one up here.

And that is really a tiny so – all right, so then there is the dots in the flower. So I am glad and do one more. Positions that flower from my box, flip it over and use the larger and it covers more space. Our brass templates are in the catalogue and there is – mainly, that coordinate with our stamps such as which is fabulous. And the light tables in there too along with the stylist. So if you need any of these items, just let me know. I will be happy to help you, get on your way to dry embossing because it is really great. All right, so there is the dry embossed images. Are they not cute? May do this as circles.

And then the dry embossing uses a light table. But then, there is another embossing that uses the powder, in a heat gun. So you have two versions of the embossed and then my box, you just, you know put it together and then I have those on the sides. Here is the finished one.
Okay, and then I want to have and punch out the flowers on the “three for you” punch. Punch out some of those in a textured paper, add the dimensional to that and then I just going to add it to the center of those flowers because it matches up really cute. Okay, is that cute? We turn the light off maybe you can see it better. All right, there you go, dry embossing. We will see you, bye!
