FRONT WHEEL DRIVE
For starters, we are going on board on a small family Coupe, which you may remember I took a couple of my mates for a spin a few years back. The Ford Puma, let us start with the simplest stunt of them all, the hand break turn. First gear, swing the wheel, pull the handbrake it will clutch and power out a bit did you quite get that? Swing the wheel, brake the hand brake, take the clutch and around. Okay, just for you in slow motion.
Build up your speed at first gear, swing the wheel over sharply and yank the handbrake. The rear wheels will lock as the backend slide then dip the clutch to put the engine stalling, and now release the handbrake. But it is foot down on the throttle and power out.
The only thing that you really could get wrong with a handbrake turn is to forget to hold the button as you are doing it. If you do that, you end up trying to drag along lot of rear wheels. So remember, unless you want more rubber on the road than round your alloys, keep the button in.
