Submission101, I am going to demonstrate how to do a Robinson Shoulder Lock. This is shown to me by wrestler buddy of mine, Nick and wrestler Aka Chrome and it's basically, a way to get a guys shoulders on a mat. But it also turns into a submission, so watch while we work .
So we are just going to start and he will turn here. So this starts in the kesa gatame or scarf hold. But you often find yourself in while grappling here and here and sometimes they'll grab around the waist, you can't work, you kind of get a submission from the scarf hold. So what you do? I am in, I am going to take this hand and I am going to feed it underneath his elbow, I am going to get it nice and tight and I am going to S grip my hands together.
Once I do that, I squeeze tight and I will shift down and start pulling back to cause the submission. You don't want to be leaning back like this, you are not going to get it, it's coming underneath, he's holding tight around the body, here S grip, sinking down, pulling back hold tight the shoulder. Hold this front.
So again, you find yourself in scarf, he's holding on to give live because he knows that he might be working for a key locked in that position. So he holds tight underneath, use the blade of your forearm, coming in, S grip together, squeezing tight, sticking down and lifting backwards. That way you'll get the submission --
