Submissions 101. I am going to demonstrate the Von Flue Choke. It's known by many different names but basically it's defence against the guillotine choke and positioning yourself into side on control.
If he is going for the choke here, and I know he is lifting up, I will hug, I will move and we will go down, okay. So I will just put down. So as you can see, I am in side control position, my hand is underneath his neck, I try to get it as deep as possible.
Now I am going to lift him up little bit. I am going to take my other hand, grip on, put my hands together in gable grip. Now I am going to put pressure with my chest, I am going to scroll out my toes, make sure you are not down here, move towards his head, and now I am going to dip my right shoulder towards his neck, and flat to my bicep.
Now again, you find yourself here, up, gable grip, out, squeeze. It's one of those kind of chokes that comes on very rapidly. It's not a very quick choke like a rear naked choke is. So that's the Von Flue Choke. It's the defence against guillotine.
