Hi! You might be thinking about getting rid of your car or upgrading. Well, I wanted to let you know that aside from selling your car or sending it to the junk yard, there's another option and that's car donation.
Donating cars is tax deductible which is fantastic. You can get either the fair value of the car, the amount that you sell it for or in the case of more expensive cars, you may need an independent appraisal. There's a few things you need to consider before you actually donate a car to charity.
The first thing is really the value of the car. If you have an old bump, you can see the ground through the floor of it, chances are it's not where the great deal of money. It can actually cost the charity more money than they make from it. They'll still accept the car from you in a spirit of donation, but it's really not the right thing to do.
Now that applies except for in the case of old or vintage cars as their individual parts can be quite valuable and also too many donation charities have pick up services. The best way to save them even more money and make your donation more valuable to them is to drive your car there yourself.
