So it happened to the best of us very odd, face to face with the clotty puddle water. That will not because of the clog in the drainage. Well, we here at watchmojo.com want to help you in avoiding plumbers by showing you how to fix it yourself.
Luckily, fixing a clogged drain and avoiding one is simple, I mean if a man can do it, so can we. So, to unclog your drain, you are going to need a Vaseline, a plunger and if you do not want to touch the hair, vegetable peel and grease build up, you are going to want to put on some rubber gloves.
First, fill the sink with about two to three inches of water if there is not any standing water already there. You are going to need liquid to push the clog through the pipe. Next, remove the stopper and use a rug to plug any over flow ups. Now, cover the rim of the plunger with a thick layer of Vaseline, this will create a tight seal between the plunger and the drain hole which will maximize pressure above the clog. Place the plunger over the seal and slowly turn it at an angle to eliminate any air bubbles. Now, it is time to take on that stubborn clog.
Standing over the sink and using both hands push up and down several times. Your building up a pressurized force so do not let the cup come off the drain until at least six or seven repetitions. Then when you finally pull the plunger off, the water should go straight through. And if that does not work, you can use an earth friendly recipe with ingredients from your kitchen to unclog the drain. Pour half a cup of baking soda followed by half a cup of vinegar into the drain. Follow the treatment by running hot water for a couple of minutes. This times experiment can be used monthly to avoid any future clogs. So you have saved yourself money and once again proved you do not need your man’s muscles to get the job done.
