How to Draw People in Motion
On behalf of tvlesson.com, my name is Jacklyn Laflamme and I'm a professional artist. In this clip, I'm going to show you how to draw a people in motion. I'm going to start off drawing a shoulder and an arm and one more swirly arm that’s going to create the arm. Actually, these people are going to end up being dancing and swirling around the dance floor. So let's just get down here and we’re going to draw in her legs and her shoes. And one more leg here and shoes.
And once we get the figures drawn in then I'm going to show the technique for making them really look like they are moving. And we’ll draw in a mister here, her partner. And he’s going to be wearing a little dinner jacket, so we’ll just draw this and we’ll get his leg in here and his pants. And then his hands are going to be coming around her waists here. And his arms are going to be coming up and they’ll be holding hands.
Now right now, they look a little stagnates. But once we started the adding lines in here, we can give the illusion of them moving their feet. We’ll put in the line for the dance floor, another line back here. And once we've drawn that background and you’ll be able to see that there are more swinging around the floor, just by adding in some little lines. And once we put in a little bit more of the detail, it will be a little bit more appearance. Just a couple a little bit and a few more details in here in the clothing, so that you can see that the dress is moving. And there you have it. Your dancing couple, people in motion.
