How to Dress Stylist but Cheap

Christine: Hey! Welcome to WatchMojo.com, I'm your host Christine and today we'll be sharing with you the latest fashion trends for this season. What advice do you have for the fashionista who is on a budget this season? Claude Laframboise: Well, I think a lot of them are going to be on a budget very soon. I think holidays doesn't have to be about total makeovers and getting expensive dresses and the jewelry and the shoes. Sometimes about having maybe a dash of color to add to your wardrobe, getting some cool accessories, there's so much great custom jewelry at very affordable prices. And also I always says, in a year, like changing your handbag; if you have a large day bag, get a really cool clutch and that really make you look quite you are stepping out for a party. Christine: What's the it color this season? Claude Laframboise: Everything in the family of purple whether it's from fuchsia to like dark, dark magenta. So I think that translates really well for the holiday because it's a shade that has really festive feel. Christine: How could someone go from the office to a party? What do you recommend? Claude Laframboise: Well, I think the most simple thing to do is to change your handbag, not go to a party with your big heavy, everyday bag and go for a small clutch. May be just change shoes, have like a more sort of party shoes, maybe with a bit of color or a metallic finish. And it can be as simple as just choosing your accessories, maybe go for some really festive earrings or a necklace that's more fun than what you would normally wear to the office. Christine: What about men this season? What could we expect? Claude Laframboise: I think there's a ritual feel that we are seeing a lot with a lots of vest and cardigan and with a bit of pinstripe, a bit of traditional fabric like Glen plaid and check and hounds tooth and all that. The traditional means fabric we're seeing them again but obviously in newer cuts, much leaner, close to the body. And again I think for a guy, it's the same thing, you might wear dark suit with lesser stripe, shirt and a pattern tie during the day. And I think for night, just changing into a crisp white shirt with a solid black tie is a safe way to look much dresser. Christine: And what is your fashion philosophy for this season? Claude Laframboise: Wear what you can really afford, this is not a season to splurge. Christine: Thank you very much. Claude Laframboise: Thank you it's my pleasure.
